I am a teacher who is looking for some unique and fun back to school related crafts to make for either my classroom, colleagues, etc. Any ideas?

have you done the back to school survival kits?

I did paint cans once for my kids teachers:

Those are super cute! What did you put in them?

The one for Mrs. Matthews had margarita mix and the one for Mrs B had a candle, some treats, and a gift card to a local restaurant.

I also did one for a teacher who was having her first baby, inside I put a blanket, some bath towels, and a few onsies.

Cute ideas!

My kids are not in school yet, but we are making crayon boxes. Just a way for each kid to have a little place to put their crayons, markers etc. in :) I will see if I can take a photo sometime today to post!

Now tell me, what did you use for the chalkboard like wrapping around the cans? ? I'd LOVE to make them.

I used scrapbook paper, 2 sheets of 12x12 paper for each can.

here is a link with instructions. You can buy the empty, clean cans at Home Depot and Lowes. And the handles don't come off anymore so skip that part.

Where do you buy the cans? How much do they cost?
