Taking our first DVC trip as members to GC this Dec and was wondering of anyone has used points for a 1 or 2 bedroom suite at the GC and if so how was it and was it worth the points?

I was hoping someone would reply to you. I'm interested in the same thing! We've got a few rooms reserved for September. 4 nights in a regular room with a DCA view. That's 146 points, which is a little high, but what the heck.

I would love to find out what people are saying about the suites...wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade?

While i do not remember the exact cost per point, i called last March to see how much they would be and it was way to many points in my opinion to be worth it.

Michaeljsz, just noticed you live in Granite Bay. So do I! Are you a DVC member?

Ouch! Ok, we'll stay in the regular hotel rooms until VGC! I wonder when...

We got married at GCH and what I did for my honeymoon in 2001 was use points for the room and then paid $250 a night to upgrade.

You may need to call them to see what the current pricing is, but it was really wonderful to have the 2 room (sofa bed in living room) suite. We were right on the corner of the hotel that sits right in the park across from the Grizzly River Rapids entrance. Very nice!

It's at least another option at those point prices! Good luck - they can only say they have nothing available...

Well I went ahead and reserved a 2 bedroom suite at GC for 4 nights in Mid December and it was 298 points. Guess we'll see if it was worth the points. I purchased our DVC membership throught the Disneyland DVC sales office so we'd have founding member status to purchase at GC when they open up for sale, I just hope the GC Villa points requirements arent close to what it takes now for just a 2 bedroom suite (ouch).
