We went to Busch Gardens last time (2003) however we had one failed attempt getting there (got lost) ad when we finally made it ended u hardly getting on any rides because it was busy and there were no fast passes and basically wasted a day.

So we're debating whether or not to go this time, or do Animal Kingdom (we didn't do this last time) we really want to do one animal park as the littlest one (3 years old when we travel) adores wild animals lions, tigers elephants etc however me and my thrill seeking teenage sisters really want to do Sheikra and all the big rides at BG etc (although Expedition Everest sounds good we're not going to be too fussed by any rides at AK)

So have things improved are there any fast pass options now? Any help greatly received

-Wasn't sure where to put this but tough this forum since it's connected to SW/DC

Personally I think BG is a waste of time and gas - if you're a big coeaster lover then I can see the attraction - but the animals there just look so unhappy.

Animal Kingdom on the other hand is an amazing place - there are two walking trails where you can see all kinds of animlas including Gurillas and tigers and the cast members will happily stand and chat about the animals and their natural habitats.

The Kilamanjaro safaris 'ride' will get you close to giraffe and elephant as well as countless other animals - and it's different every time you ride.

EE is the only coaster - but it's a not to be missed attraction!

Personally I'd vote AK over BG every single time :)

We have been to Buschgardens three times now and always loved it. Neither of us is into the big coasters. There is a wider range of animal attractions than at Animal Kingdom and the animals always seem to be very well looked after. Rhino Rally is a fantastic ride and we also like the train ride around the park. We have not been back since Jungula opened, but friends that have been say this is a fantastic mix of animal exhibits and a play area for children. Buschgardens now has a fast pass system, but unlike at Disney this is not free. The Serengeti Safari was a wonderful experience, but there are some age restrictions as far as I am aware.

Thanks for the replies, theres quite a few coaster lovers in our family s I think BG would be good for us, while AK will be better for the little one.

We went to BG yesterday, want to talk about packed.I'm not into the big coasters. They do have aform of express passes. They cost around$30 each my DW and DD got them and rode all the big rides. At the same time DS and I did the animal viewing and Jungala is real cool..

If your going in the summer go during the weekdays(less crowds). And get there @ rope drop to hit the big rides. They are open till 10PM all summer long(they open @ 9AM)the shows are kool, the animals look happy to me.Its def worth going...:thumbsup2

Wow lovely pictures, glad you had a great time.

I know we went to BG last time, but my memory of it is really faded I can't remember it at all. I just have one picture in my memory of us standing by the river rapids and the queue being really really long so we didn't ride

As far as what the OP stated, the animals donn't look miserable to me..

Alot of the animals are rescued and are living a better life cuase of what A-B puts into thier rescue efforts>>>

Its sad to see people with narrow minds that cann't see what these places do for animals:sad1:

Not everyone can goto Nova Scotia and see whales in thier natural enviroment or fly to Alaska and see a bald eagle.Etc-etc-etc...

A-B(Seaworld-Busch Gardens)brings the animals to you to see in a inclosed enviroment grant you.But most people would never see them unless it was not for them. And get a better respect for the demise of there enviroment..

My opinion of coarse!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll probally get flooged on this, but its true!!

why is it that combination of photos makes me think the tiger had a good desert, that or saw the bill for desert. :rotfl:

Great photos, the park is enjoyable not disney but was first and has been adapting to its competition in recent years. Jungala is a huge change.

Jungala is really good for those kids who are too old for Land of the Dragons and too young for the big thrill rides.

I'm bumping this, cause it is what I believe!!!!!!

On a side note:Everyone cann't but they can afford a ticket to see something they and there family can do for under $70..

I believe in this and trying not to be rash about it..

I just hope when IN-BEV takes over, they will carry on the A-B beliefs on the rescue efforts!!!
