engaged 8/1

Hello Everyone!!!!!!!!!!

I am so excited that we are engaged. DF & I have been together for 13 years and we started actually planning our wedding before he proposed. So here is the story about how he proposed. He tells me about 2 months ago to take 8/1 off no I was not allowed to ask any questions. So I took the day off. As we got closer in order to pack I needed more details. So Thursday after work we got on the road. We left for a long. As we got closer he tells me were going to CT. He did an amazing job planning all of this with out anyone’s help. So we stayed at an amazing hotel in the presidential suite. Friday the day was planned out we went to Foxwoods Casino for the day & came back to the hotel to change & get ready for the evening. So we are on our way to our night out at Mohegan Sun Casino where we are going to dinner at a very nice restaurant as were sitting there talking about to finish dinner he hands me an envelope with concert tickets to my favorite group Earth Wind & Fire. So I am thinking this night can't get any better. We leave the casino & go back to the hotel & they have a jacuzzi tub so I am relaxing in the tub & he comes in to join me & tells me to close my eyes & hands me a Tiffany box I open the box & inside was a Tiffany necklace & pendant that says Marry Me on it. I was speechless. And of course I said YES!!!!!!!!! :bride:

So on our way home he tells me that he tricked our parents into thinking we are meeting for lunch to celebrate a HUGE accomplishment of mine that I have lost 75 lbs. But all said & done they are coming down here to get good news about their children getting married.


Now for the actually wedding we are getting married on the Sept 12 2009 sailing the Magic to Tortola. Our invites are going out this week. Once again this was all planned out we were just waiting for the actually proposal. I think I have about summed it all up. Hope you guys enjoy the story!!!

That is so wonderful. First congrats on losing all that weight. I have just started NutriSystems hoping to lose some weight before our November wedding.

You are right. I would have been satisfied with tickets to see Earth, Wind and Fire - I just love them.

I saw those charms in the Tiffany catalog and thought they were great and what a wonderful idea he had. You new DF sounds great and keep us posted with all your planning.
