So I was surfing the TV and came across Fox News talking about things the oil price increases has affected and such. They say that WDW is feeling the pinch since they are increasing parking fees and ticket prices. I am thinking "give me a break....:confused3this is the 3rd year in a row that the prices have increased in Aug." The anchor lady says that maybe everyone should stay home since it is getting too expensive. Hmmmm maybe everyone will listen and stay away for my trip in Dec.:goodvibes

This morning, ABC radio news (Disney-owned) gave a mention to the new higher prices at the Disney theme parks.
They mentioned the $75 price for adult tix (and the new price for a child's tix) at WDW, specifically.

Just saw it reported on our ABC Disney-owned affiliate. Hopping going to 50 bucks. Sigh.

Yes! I completly agree! Everyone should cancel the Dec. vacations at once in protest! Especially if you are going Dec.2-9.:lmao:

We were there in 2000. We paid $50 a ticket. In 8 years it has gone up $25.
That equates to $3.125 a year. The last 2 years, prices have only gone up once a year, I remember seeing price increases sometimes two, three times a year.
Wouldn't it be nice to hear, "due to the economy, WDW has decided to give everyone a price break, and lower the tickets $10.00 a ticket."

The ticket price increase was also mentioned on our morning news in Vancouver -- on Global. It was pretty random and out of the blue. No mention of oil prices or anything.

There was a ticker on our news channel that stated that "Mickey needed more cheese...Walt Disney World ticket prices to increase Sunday". :rotfl:

And remember folks its not just the ticket prices that have gone up. Special buffet increases during holiday time (& summer is a holiday it seems), large increases in buggy rides, being made to get a photo package with some princess dinners. Lots of restaurants you cannt eat in unless you pay for pricesses. And on and on. I only did 2 sit down dinners last trip because as a single i dont need princesses so I cannt eat in many places. I still go to the world but miss eating at places like Norway. Also dont shop much since everything is pretty standardized & lower in quality. I wonder what else will be priced out of existence for many people.

Hi,
I just got off the phone with CRO. Added park hopper to my 10 day MYW package. CM said if I had done it tomorrow the price would have increased substantially.
CM confirmed all ticket prices will be raised tomorrow.
