Just wondering if anyone could tell me where to buy this in stores? I have heard about it here on the boards, so I would like to get some. Thanks :thumbsup2

Someone also mentioned Modells' might have them and you can also order it on-line. Am I allowed to post the two websites? I am never sure.

I found mine at Dick's Sporting Goods. It was in the section with sports med stuff, right near the athletic tape.

I also purchased mine at Dick's. If you're not near a Dick's they also have it on their website.

I also saw some last week at a Lucy store. They sell work-out clothes, if you're not familiar. I didn't check the price though ... sorry.

I read in another thread that deoderant/antipersperant works just as well!

It's hard to find, even at Dick's. We had to ask a salesperson. It was $10. Avon also sells a similar product that (IMO) works just as well.

We bought ours at Dicks too - worked great but think deodorant would work just as well.
Did see a similar product at Wal-mart recently. Think it was called foot glide or blister shield (not sure) it was with the first aid (or foot care) aisle...I know saw it while looking for first aid supplies and the two areas are right next to each other.
Hope this helps!

Just a quick question - what is the purpose of body glide? Is it what keeps shorts from riding up? I hate that!! I need some if that's what it is.
Also, what is the product Avon has that is comparable. My MIL sells Avon. I can get some from her if I need to.

Body Glide (and similar products) "stops friction and creates a protective barrier on your skin -- preventing chafing, blisters, rash, saddle sores, and skin irritation" use it "anywhere skin or clothing rubs against skin during activity".
I use it on my feet with sandals that rub, and where my shorts/thighs rub and on my shoulders when wearing a backpack...also my ds likes it on his groin area guess it keeps things from rubbing against ohter things :rolleyes1

I found Brecks Baby Liquid Powder with Cornstarch today at Dollar Tree. I am going to try it next weekend during our trip to the beach. I wonder if it will work as well ad Body Glide? I certainly is cheaper!

For those of you who don't have Dick's Sporting Goods, Luke's Locker also carries it!

I bought some Bodyglide for ds (also has things that rub, esp. after a day at TL) ;) at drugstore.com. This was about 1 1/2 yrs ago. I recently saw it in Dick's near the lacrosse sticks.

You can find it at Amazon.com if Dicks Sporting Goods does not have it in stock. I have noticed Dicks Sporting Goods only carries it occasionally, so I just purchase mine online at amazon.com. :santa: :santa: :santa:

Any solid stick deodorant will work. Many runners have known this trick for years. I prefer speedstick solid. It really works well and prevents chafing from walking all day. Although, I'm not sure how well it works if you get drenched on a water ride.

I got mine at Drugstore.com (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=86518&catid=10307&trx=GFI-0-EVGR-49973&trxp1=10782&trxp2=86518&trxp3=1&trxp4=20&btrx=BUY-GFI-0-EVGR-49973), along with moleskin, travel size space bags, pocket neosporin spray, airborn, earplanes, and more. Just FYI though, Bodyglide works okay but it does not compare to Monistat Soothing Care Chafing Relief Powder-Gel (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=139254&catid=33587&trx=PLST-0-CAT&trxp1=10782&trxp2=139254&trxp3=1&trxp4=10&btrx=BUY-PLST-0-CAT).Also at Drugstore.com

I went to the Body Glide site and just put in our zip code to locate a local store. Picked it up today. One more thing to check off the list!

Anyone know what the Avon product is called that is similar to bodyglide???

The Avon version is in their "Footworks" collection, called Friction Control Anti-Blister Balm. Last summer they had it in a trial size, which was perfect for packing!
