It's fun (even though I have only posted one entry in this thread). I think there is an explanation at the start of this thread, but basically, each person posts two DLR photos. Your first photo would be a match of the second photo in the previous person's post. And your second picture would be a new one for the next person to match. The matches don't have to be exact, which you will see if you comb through this thread to get an idea of it. Just sort of a match. You can pick whatever you want for the second picture. Now, if someone posts a photo that nobody can match even slightly, then anyone can post a wild card picture - just a picture of any random DLR thing - to keep the game moving, but that is usually a day or two later. Obviously, acting quickly is good to do because many folks have the same pictures or similar ones to match with others, so the faster you can match, the better. Some of them are really hard to match and that is where the Wild Card comes in handy!:goodvibes

Yeah, I had to figure it out along the way too, Nancy drew! I didn't know, either! I saw people putting in Wild Cards, but for some reason didn't put 2 and 2 together in my mind that the WC was always Mickey until Robert TG pointed it out to me. It's disneyLOVE's thread, so maybe she has specifications on the Wild Card Mickey. But from what I have guessed, it seems that as long as the picture is from DLR, I think it can be a Mickey head or a full Mickey, or anything in the shape of Mickey (like the topiary bush I posted earlier), or the actual Mickey character like what Teki just posted is good too. You can kind of look back and see the types of Wild Card Mickeys that have been used to get an idea. It is an easy way to keep the game rolling when it gets stuck because almost everyone has something with Mickey on it or in it from DLR.

If I had noticed that same display if ice cream cones, I most definitely would have snapped a picture of it because it is very festive and colorful! I have probably seen it a million times but never paid attention to it!!

I did, however, take a picture of the little array of treats (Mickey ice cream sandwich, Mickey ice cream bar, etc.) that hang in the display above the ice cream carts throughout the park, but I already used that in an earlier post here so didn't want to repeat it!

Oh, you know what? That's my picture and I didn't even realize the ToT was in it even just a little bit!! Isn't that funny? If I had noticed the ToT when I snapped it, I would have tried to get more of it in the frame! Thank you being observant and for pointing that out to me - I am obviously sleeping or something!! That is kind of cool now that you mention it!

You should be able to see the Wine Country Trattoria menu on AllEars.net. No, it is not terribly expensive at all. It is affordable, has nice outdoor seating with parade views and has good food - huge salads and a good meatball sandwich - and that Orange Sorbet! YUM!

Oh no, it's not your fault, Teki!:goodvibes :hug: You are just playing the game. I think it was decided a while back that there would be no waiting period for the Wild Cards. Many, many pages ago, I remember some controversy with the thread, and it was suggested that there either be the 3-hour waiting period for Wild Cards to give people who had matches a chance to post, or that we only do the Wild Card once this entire thread moves onto the second page of the forum due to inactivity - to kind of bump it up and keep the game moving. Both of those ideas were ultimately scrapped, I THINK. I could be wrong. Without digging deep into the pages of this thread and going through each one, it is easy to overlook changes in the rules. But everything seems to be going along smoothly now, so if it ain't broke......

Actually, in the true spirit of game playing, doing the Wild Card randomly - with no waiting period or time frame put on it keeps things more exciting! People have to act quickly to post their match - and yes, some will not have a chance to post their pictures and others will be able to post a lot, but everyone will get a turn sooner or later because they may have a match that someone else does not have, and that's how games work. It's all timing and luck. Some folks excel and take the lead or make bold moves and others fall behind. That's how games work. So it will help to mix things up a bit, I'd say!!!


I am just happy I have been able to post anything at all! For a long time I either didn't have any current DLR photos to use to play the game with or I just didn't have what I felt were good matches (some folks get a little TOO loose in their interpretations of what a 'Match' is, I think!;) ). But now, if someone posts a cow picture, I can be quick on the trigger and match it!!!:lmao:
