Do the characters march in the parade ? One of my coworkers princess: say they do since he is gay and proud. He is a sweetie.

If you are speaking of the Orlando Pride Parade, Disney does not allow it's characters to dress in costume and march in the parade. Disney characters are not allowed to be dressed in official Disney character gear outside of property or Disney authorized venues.

If you are asking if the characters that would normally appear in the parades on Disney property still appear in the parades on the days when GayDays occur, the answer is that the entertainment that is scheduled for the park during those days doesn't change just because it's GayDays.

Did that answer your question? :confused3

Several years ago I marched in the Orlando parade (happens in October btw). We had one of the Character Caravan busses from Epcot, and we were all wearing PRIDE (People Respecting Individual Diversities in Everyone, Disney's official gay resource group for CM's) tshirts. We also all had on the plush Mickey gloves you can buy in the stores. Of course every time someone saw a gay family, we always gave the gloves to the kids. By the end of the parade the people in charge were trying to collect the gloves and there were none left :rotfl:

I'm glad to hear that Disney allowed some official representation in the gay pride parade. Overall I'm impressed with Disney's inclusive personnel policies.
