No kidding! Single guys in the UK need only come across the pond, hit the local pub in Anywhere, USA and have women immediately swarming them from all angles! That goes for those Aussie guys too! :rotfl:

That's so funny. Have you ever seen the movie "Love Actually?" There's a British guy in it... Colin... and he is convinced that he will be a Love God if he could just get to America. And he goes to Milwaukee...anyways...it's pretty funny.
Your comment made me think of that. Now I need to watch that movie again. It's one of my favs.
I listen to another podcast called "Movies You Should See" based out of the UK... I must admit, that not only do I listen because of the content, but also because of the accents!

That's one thing most wives in the UK, USA, Mexico, etc., will be quite miffed about. The kids will kick you in the shin and run back to their Mom! :rotfl:

Hi
Its not where the kids would kick me that would worry me as much as where my wife would kick.....:rotfl:
All joking aside , i think the feeling is pretty mutual ,The American people we have met in general are very hospitable and have been very welcoming to my family .I cant speak for everyone but just about all the people i hear talk about American visitors to this side of the pond see them as good friends of our country and the accent is just as popular on this side of the atlantic.
American tv, movies, food chains , coffee bars, clothes , music & sports are very popular here too.
Paul
Ps a certain podcast is also seems to be popular on this side of the atlantic.

Pete's a smart man. Someone from England could call and ask what time the 3 o'clock parade starts, and he'd play it because people would swarm to hear him talk.

Heck, all they'd have to do is recite the alphabet! I LOVE it when they say "zed" instead of "Z"!:lovestruc

Is it any wonder that I enjoyed listening to Jeremy Irons in Spaceship Earth? I could listen to Patrick Stewart saying ANYTHING.
I'm surprised to see that Brits like OUR accents. :confused3

"Stop saying that."
