My wife is addicted to shopping :eek: and she loves the gift shops at Disney Resorts. :cool1: Feed her addiction and post any pictures of the gift shops... I will admit that POR has one of the nices gift shops i have seen... Iprefer DTD and Main Street for shopping

MeMoM you have totally inspired me to take gift shop photos! I've never done it before but looking at them is so much fun online! when I go back to the world in December I will take photos of a bunch.. we are eating at Wilderness Lodge, The Poly, and AKL... plus I plan to get over to the boardwalk and maybe even SSR while I'm there so I can take photos of those gift shops as well.

Your photo of the POP's tye-died t shirt brings back memories of my May 2007 trip. Every day I looked at that t-shirt in the gift shop and never bought it.

My two regrets from that trip - never buying the t-shirt and never buying the POP photo book with the 3-D rubberized cover.

Of course when we went this year, neither were being offered.

This post is awesome. Whenever returning from the parks at the end of the day we always walk through the gift shops. This post brought back a lot of memories from past trips. one of the reasons we didnt like the CBR is that the bus dropped us off right in front of our building so we never did the nightly walk through the gift shop!

They were one of those deal where you make a purchase of X dollars and you can buy those for ten dollars, I think it was. They are 11x14 pictures. That was in March, so I don't know if they are still doing those pictures.

Last time we were there, I remember Mickey's Star Traders in Tomorrowland had quite a bit of Stitch stuff. :) It's right near the Stitch "ride", so I guess that makes sense! ;)

LOVE all these photos of the gift shops! I took a ton of them in the DTD Christmas store, and am so glad to know I'm not the only one who does that! Upcoming trip is only nine days away and can't wait! :banana:

We saw these Mickey head boxes on display when we were at Pop and asked EVERYWHERE if there was a place on property where we could buy them and everyone said no. I was so sad because they had TONS of different colors in their display cases and they were leather, with lift off tops, and they were just adorable. My husband went back and secretly asked if they'd let him buy just one for me for our anniversary and they wouldn't let him :sad2: I was bummed!

I sure will! I'm a third-grade teacher, and it is spring break, so anything I do is going to be fun. The downside to this trip is that it's just a 'friend and me' trip. None of my kids are able to come this time for various reasons - daughter about to have a baby, the boys have school, jobs, etc. I will miss them so much, but I'll bring back goodies for them and lots of pictures to get us ready for our all-family summer trip.

OK for those of you who posted pictures of OKW and AKL I saw that there was food you could purchase. Do you know if the food was terribly expensive? I was thinking of packing some food in one of our extra bags, but if I could pick up some breakfast items at a near by resort that would be great! Thanks everyone for posting pictures! I would have never thought of going to another resort to see the gift shop. Question: after a holiday (Easter etc) do they clearance out the holiday merchandise, or do they tuck it away in storage for next year?

I looked at the price on the placemats last week and it was $3.95 each. I am sure the plates and cups are more than that, I would say at LEAST $5.95 and up.

Tren-D was about to open when we were there in March and I saw photos right after we returned. I think the first day it was open was March 19.

In the Magic Kingdom, behind the Castle in Fantasyland. If you are looking at the Castle from behind, it is to the left. It is Sir Mickey's I think (or something similar). All the times we had been in that store and I never noticed the Giant until last trip because I was looking for him!

I am so sorry I didn't answer you. I saw your question, but then forgot about it. That Minnie was over in the UK section of Epcot. I would say look there or at MouseGear or other Epcot stores. Maybe the one at the International Gateway.

You will find some cute little Chip and Dales at WL, for Chip and Dale fans. Have an awesome trip! We spent the last two nights of this summer's trip there. We loved it! It was so warm and cozy and inviting that it just made us want to stay there and not even go into the parks.

No luck on the Minnie in the green dress. Checked both MouseGears and every shop in UK ... doesn't mean it wasn't there; just didn't see it. My EPCOT afternoon of shopping was a little rushed (spent some of that time taking the Behind the Seeds tour, which was great! and riding Soarin' 3 times!) but I did try. Will mention the Minnie to my sister who is going in December. If she "happens on" it will ask her to purchase for you. :tink:

I almost bought those Mickey pajamas when we were in WDW in August! We're staying at the AKL next April...good to see they have them there too, I may have to get them this time. haha!

DD & I bought them last November when we were there (we like matching pj's). They are soft & comfy & I'm going to buy a back up pair when we go back next month!
