just got that string minnie mouse keychain. they had a bunch of those all over epcot, i saw them in the giftshops right at the entrance to world showcase.

We check in Christmas Day! We are planning to be in EPCOT NYE. Love the idea of a meet on the Poly beach though! I know DH & DS are really looking forward to being in EPCOT despite the crowds! If it gets too crazy, maybe I can talk them into joining you all!

Anytime I have bought something fragile(even snowglobes) I have the CM wrap it up good & put it in a box, and I just place it in a suitcase wrapped up right in the middle of all of our dirty laundry. Never had a problem! :thumbsup2

I've done the same, however this last trip two of our bags (cheaper ones) had their pull out handles bent to the point that the luggage needed to be replaced. Bag damage is going to happen regardless of how good of a bag you have - I suggest doing as above, wrapping the ornaments well and then hiding it in the center of your bag, but in your carry on.

This trip I might try the shipping thing if it's not too expensive.

I am so sorry I didn't answer you. I saw your question, but then forgot about it. That Minnie was over in the UK section of Epcot. I would say look there or at MouseGear or other Epcot stores. Maybe the one at the International Gateway.

goopysolelady, you won't find her at Wilderness Lodge. That throw was a gift from my daughter, and I just used it as the backdrop for some of the souvenirs I got. You will find some cute little Chip and Dales at WL, for Chip and Dale fans. Have an awesome trip! We spent the last two nights of this summer's trip there. We loved it! It was so warm and cozy and inviting that it just made us want to stay there and not even go into the parks.

That is AWESOME! I love that idea, and I just bought a new house. However, I would never be able to get DH onboard! He wasn't too impressed with Disney WOrld in '08:confused3. OH well.

The only room I might be able to decorate in a theme is my art room, but I think it would be a clash of themes as much as I like Disney.:laughing:

One of my favorite things to buy is the Mickey soap at Basin. Cut the bar into thirds and it lasts a long time. Love the smell and having a daily reminder of my trips.

I sometimes have that issue. I'm not what I would consider to be thin-average, but I am busty. The shirts that are made in Junior's sizes are usually too small, and the regular t-shirts are usually too big. They say for a t-shirt to fit properly the seam at the top of the sleeve should hit you mid-shoulder, and they always fall off my shoulder which makes me look wider and I hate it!

I am the same as well- I have to buy fitted ladies clothes or look like a complete slouch! because I am thin-average and busty (Womens 6/8 shirt)- and now I know to make it a point to try tshirts on before I buy... just a tip for t shirts- it may or may not work... but, instead of buying a ladies M with too small sleeves or a ladies L that is just BOXY on me, I am now buying Mens' sizes. If I want a fitted look I go with a mens' S and if I want the "big, comfy" look, I get a men's M.

You may have to spend some time trying on different sizes and even different cuts to find your style... but the guys always have some cool stuff!

OMG I thought it was just me!! They are either way to tight in the chest region or way too big and look like they belong on a man! I rarely come home from WDW with a shirt. And the ones I do have I rarely wear because they are so uncomfortable or don't look right. :sad1:

A few of the shirts that I've bought in the last couple of years have been made out of that VERY think fabric and very tight. Sure they are going for a younger demographic, but they forget that we purchase shirts too.

I bought several shirts in DL and they do not fit. They are EXL and I think from now on I will try them on or avoid that kind of shirt all together. :headache:

to my fellow shoppers - i'm just wondering, do any other women/girls have the problem of disney shirts not fitting? my past 2 trips (this past october and april) i kept finding the CUTEST shirts and no matter what style it is , i try it on and it doesnt look good on me! i consider myself thin-average build, a little on the busty side though. what the heck! the prettiest shirts and i can never get any because they either are too tight in the sleeves or too long or just look funny on me. it makes me so sad :sad1:

I bought one for myself in December...came home...washed it and it had several holes in it.. I was not happy! Not for the price they charge for them these days! The shirt fit ok... but they have defi changed the style and material from the past. The style I know is more modern to what they sell in stores now... but the material is just CHEAP ... for what they cost! I won't be buying a shirt next week thats for sure!

I have to say how totally BUMMED I was on our trip this past week to see the lack of resort specific merchandise! Last year we stayed at BWI and they had absolutely nothing except a couple little Boardwalk Villas DVC things. This year was a little better. We stayed at AKL and they had quite a bit more than I have seen at any other resort. Do these things not sell very well? Since we go almost every year, these are usually the only souvenirs we get. Without resort merchandise, we don't usually buy anything :headache:

Every year since DH and I got married we have bought a resort ornament with the year we stayed there for our Christmas tree and our tree is currently made up of ONLY these ornaments and a few basic solid colored mickey's. We went to the Christmas store in DTD and they told us they have a new supplier/buyer and they don't have anything with the resorts on them anymore :sad1: We were so upset that our tradition has to end :sad2:

We also noticed that most stores had the same things. One of my favorite things to do at WDW is shop, and as much as it was nice to know that if you found something you liked, you wouldn't have to go all the way back to one specific store, it was boring to go in store after store and see the exact same merchandise :confused3 I really WANTED to give Disney my money, and I came back home with most of it. :rolleyes1

Stayed at teh Boardwalk Nov 2009 and little to no merchandise the entire week were there. Kept checking back for a tshirt but they never got a shipment. Really sad state. The only thing that came in was teh christmas pin when were there, nothing else was stocked. I had really wanted that boardwalk tshirt or even a hat ...never happened :(

My wife is addicted to shopping :eek: and she loves the gift shops at Disney Resorts. :cool1: Feed her addiction and post any pictures of the gift shops... I will admit that POR has one of the nices gift shops i have seen... Iprefer DTD and Main Street for shopping
I love shopping at all the boutiques too. normally one of the days at Disney my teenage kids go to typhoon lagoon and I spend the day shopping at all the resort boutiques, its a win win situation.
