Two people in our family of 4 will be celebrating a birthday while on the cruise! :) :) :) What can DCL do for the celebration? Do we need to notify them ahead of time?http://www.plauder-smilies.de/partytime.gif

I've thought of a few ideas to help celebrate it. Ginger suggested a birthday sign to hang on the stateroom door & I love that idea! I think I have a sign & if I don't, I'm sure I can get one at the dollar store.http://www.plauder-smilies.de/partysmiley.gif
I'm also planning on bringing some balloons as they won't take up much space. ;) and some tape to hang them up with.http://www.plauder-smilies.de/party/balloons.gif

Will DCL give the BD folks a BD pin? If so, how do we get this?
How about a cake?http://www.plauder-smilies.de/party/torte.gif
Have you celebrated a BD on the cruise? What else did you do to make the day special?

The BD folks in our party are turning 8 years old and 20 years old.http://www.plauder-smilies.de/birthday.gif

Hi ennazus,

We just got back from the 4/6 - 4/13 Magic where my wife celebrated her birthday. I let our head waiter know early in the week. At dinner on her birthday they brought her a wonderful cake (rich chocolate and huge), a birthday pin, and about 10-12 waitstaff sang to her. Very nicely done.

The head server will bring a cake to your dinner table. Several servers and assistant servers will sing to you. They should know because they obtain the birthdays when you do your reservation - but doesn't hurt to mention it to your head server.

Thanks for the input. We have a Birthday cruiser too, but he cannot eat cake and he does not like the public display. Any suggestions?
