Yes it is the panel. I entered the contest but was denied. However I am part of the Moms group because I got a package a couple months ago...:confused3 I don't really do anything for this group so I don't get it.

I was there in June for a couple of days visiting my sister, but I didn't stay on site or buy tickets (my neice works at Tomorrowland). I only went to Epcot and DTD and had tea at the Grand Floridian (a must do). The last time I paid for a Disney trip was June 06 and August 06 (as my name says). Now I just have to talk my DH into it. I got the same email/code. But I'm confused. My code came in my former name. I remarried in 2005, so while I got the code it is not my married name. I sent the code to the TA I went through to see if I can still use it, but haven't heard back yet. I'm assuming since I went through a TA they have to apply it -right? Or can I call and try? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just really confused.

I started researching disney this year (2008), and didn't put that last name on anything I signed up for. Not the vacation planning DVD or the monthly email newsletters. So I'm not sure how it got my former name.

Will they let me use it? If it is associated with an address - we bought a house after we married - so it wouldn't be the right last name or address at this point. Course, I don't have a clue what mailing list it pulled me from to get that name. It is my email address though.

I was able to use it for my moderate resort, so it's not just for value. I added the dining package but now I'm not sure if it's a good deal.

I've not heard back from my TA yet on whether or not I was able to use it. Kind of frustrating as I really thought I'd know by now. We are staying at the WL in November. I heard back from my TA. I was booked at the WL in a standard room from 11/8 - 11/14. There weren't any standard rooms available for the discount with the pin # for that week. So she got me upgraded to a courtyard view with the pin # and it will cost me $200 less than I was paying for the standard room. :) Not a great savings, but I'm better off than I was before the pin - so I'm happy. :)

I talked to a guy this a.m. who insisted that we were getting a 40% off code with this email, when he gave me the room only total I told him that didnt add up (we've been there20+ times i knew what ballpark regular rack rate was) as a discounted rate. He actually gave me a higher total for rack rate (still didnt add up to the 40%, he must not be very good at math). I asked him three times if that was actually a discounted pin code for room only. Each time he said yes, and remarked that not very many people get a 40% off code so we were lucky. Again, didnt add up though. So i hung up with him, called back immediately, got another CM who said there is NO room-only discount code and gave me the same numbers as the previous guy who insisted we were discounted at that amount. What losers. Why send an email telling people to call for their "special room only offer" when there isnt one-- unless your plan is to scam them and rope them into it.

So I called to just get a price. The CM quoted me $1,737 for 2A/2C at Movies from 11/20-25 with park hoppers. This was not right since that was around what I got online. I called again. The problem was I told him just a standard room not preferred. The pin was tied to a preferred room and when I switched it lost it . So, the preferred room at movies was 1,426.98. I could do a standard room at Music or Pop for $1,359.18.

We decided not to go, but it was nice to get a pin finally. Maybe next year!

CM quoted a standard room 11/4 - 11/12 8 nights MYW dining and 8 day park hooper for 2187. at ASMU or preferred room at 2289 at all star movies. UGHHH She finally put me through to disney reservations (who I thought I was speaking to!) and the gentleman who very helpful....although for some reason he could not get the code to work for me for room only he was still able to get me a discount........I am staying 2 of the nights at Poly (rest is DVC stay).......so he saved me over $250. Needless to say I am thrilled (but the orginal girl I spoke to deleted one of the people who is staying with us....so had to fix that,..grr....but hey I did save!!!!

I received the code this morning. I spoke with a very helpful CM. I have an ap so I asked if I could still use the code and she said yes, all I would do is purchase the one day base ticket (same deal as free dining). These are the rates I got for 12/15-12/23 with 2A/1C w/ base ticket:

Ok I am soooo excited!!!!:cool1: I checked my email this morning and I saw that I had something from Disney Destinations. It was a pin code for the dates I was traveling!!!!! :woohoo: The only problem was that it was for 5nights/6 days at a value and I am going for 9nights/10days. So I called anyway and I got an awesome upgrade!!!! I was orginally booked at All Star Movies with 7 day park hopper for $1571. With my code I am now staying at Port Orleans Riverside for $1560. I know that difference is very little but if I upgraded like I wanted to without the code it would have cost me $600 more!! I am soo happy that i finally got a code. The women I spoke to was beyond nice and she was just as excited as i was. Same with me except only my first name was on the email. When I called I found out and they would let me use it if I wanted to. I was surprised since I have been to WDW since my marriage and they have my new name and the new name is linked with my email.

I called Disney and found out I can go from POFQ standard view to AKL pool view for only $200 more. When I was first planning my trip the AKL was $1000+ more than POFQ.... that's why I chose POFQ. ;)

I received an email also with a code.... at my email address, but with my sisters name... this is how I think I got mine, my Sister had booked (while she was at Disney last Sept 2007 on free dining) a "bounce back" offer for this September 2008, she booked 2 rooms, one for her, and one for me and my parents...that is why it was in her name, with my email address...well, we couldn't go this past september, and cancelled the ressies... an lo and behold, the email with the code... that would be the only way they got the combo of her name and my email....anyway, they didn't have any rooms available for our dates 10/16-20 at the resort we wanted, POP.... and they didn't have a room only discount with the PIN I received (although he would let me use the PIN, even though it was in my Sister's name).... still waiting on AP rates :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 , he said they didn't have any yet, and didn't know when they would be coming out with them

The agent I spoke with when I called had a list of properties and rooms available. I just talked with her and compared each of them and picked the one I liked best!

My Mom just got a pin offer and I am SO excited because she is going with us and we were able to apply it to both our rooms:banana: I have NEVER received one, but at 11:30 last night I decided to check my Mom's email....she never uses it or even checks it. I found it in her spam. I could not believe my eyes. Anyway, I called Disney and we had previously booked POFQ but they didn't have anything available for my dates.. so we chose CBR which I am actually getting excited about with the new pool. So I will give you my prices for the package:

That is for just one room. When we originally booked POFQ for the same dates, it was just under 1500.00 for the room only. My quote did not include
dining, but we are planning to add it before the trip. I hope you get a code, or something similar will open to the public. The code worked out to be about 35%. I was pleased.:thumbsup2

So i got the email too, called to get the room only rate (the email tells you to call for the "special room only offer", in addition to the package discount it spells out). I talked to a guy this a.m. who insisted that we were getting a 40% off code with this email, when he gave me the room only total I told him that didnt add up (we've been there20+ times i knew what ballpark regular rack rate was) as a discounted rate. He actually gave me a higher total for rack rate (still didnt add up to the 40%, he must not be very good at math). I asked him three times if that was actually a discounted pin code for room only. Each time he said yes, and remarked that not very many people get a 40% off code so we were lucky. Again, didnt add up though. So i hung up with him, called back immediately, got another CM who said there is NO room-only discount code and gave me the same numbers as the previous guy who insisted we were discounted at that amount. What losers. Why send an email telling people to call for their "special room only offer" when there isnt one-- unless your plan is to scam them and rope them into it.

Well, I just called and inquired about rates using my first ever pin code. I was armed with the regular rates for my trip so I could compare apples to apples.

This is what I found out:

Hmmm, I have a similiar situation, sort of. I have a 9n/10day trip at CBR booked with AAA rate also. I bought tickets, but at the same time I booked my room, he said prices were going up in a few days and that to use AAA, it was room only for me to book it. I had asked if I could apply discount if I got one later and he said yes. Now, I"m wondering if I jumped the gun and should have just waited. I'm afraid that a package deal through disney visa is all that will be released at this time, and room only will be later, if at all and that will be harder to get. Does anyone know, if I already bought tickets through them(at the same time I booked the AAA room), will they be able to put my tickets and room together to make a package and use a package discount?

Just got a pin code, there was two options in it:

1) from 10/02/08 to 11/25/08, "select" value rooms for $99 a night, which is a $20 a day saving.

2) on select dates 8/10-9/27/08, 10/19-11/1/08, 11/9-11/15/08 and 12/7-12/13/08, get 30% off non-discounted room rates.

I called, unfortunately it doesn't help me much for the days I'm traveling. Oh well, hopefully better deals coming...

with a pin code $1200 (app) The savings came out to be $400 (and change)

Better than what it was yesterday!! (Free dining is still a better deal, but we couldnt go during free dining this year, dining plan will cost us $840, so we're debating skipping it this year!)

We just got this code in the mail (I'm not in any Mom's group).

I called and our trip was going to cost: $3300
With discount: $2900 ($400 savings)

I'm very happy, but I was a little shocked that it was only a 10% discount (actually a little under).

We are staying at Wilderness Lodge and on Deluxe Dining. The cool thing is that our trip starts Dec. 22 (within the discount period) and so the CM told me it applies to our whole trip!

I'm just curious why other people said they saved so much more money on a vacation that started out costing less? Any ideas?

I received an email also with a code.... at my email address, but with my sisters name... this is how I think I got mine, my Sister had booked (while she was at Disney last Sept 2007 on free dining) a "bounce back" offer for this September 2008, she booked 2 rooms, one for her, and one for me and my parents...that is why it was in her name, with my email address...well, we couldn't go this past september, and cancelled the ressies... an lo and behold, the email with the code... that would be the only way they got the combo of her name and my email....anyway, they didn't have any rooms available for our dates 10/16-20 at the resort we wanted, POP.... and they didn't have a room only discount with the PIN I received (although he would let me use the PIN, even though it was in my Sister's name).... still waiting on AP rates :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 , he said they didn't have any yet, and didn't know when they would be coming out with them



FYI .... Even with the room-only rate with the PIN code, the rate at POP was better with a AAA discount.... by about $30.00 (4 nights a POP standard view was $400.55 with PIN or $378.68 with AAA discount)... also, make sure you specify whether or not you want the insurance... they quote the price with insurance, even if you don't ask.... it was automatic

We got a pin code vie email (same offer as intial post on this thread). Actually it went to my Mom but since she is going with us we could use it. We're staying at Ft. Wilderness, I just asked if we could apply the code and we saved $771! I'm not sure of the per night cost, the CM just gave me a new total balance - we're VERY HAPPY!
I had a vacation planning DVD sent to each of us going on the trip as well as signing everyone up on the Disney site. I'm not sure what got the code to my Mom. As a Dad I'm not in any Mom's Club - LOL :goodvibes

Is the pin code everyone talking about "Once upon a dream Disney resort offer" ?? That is the title of the email I got. So if this is it, I got it too. I honestly am not planning to go til May, but this sure tempts me!!! I am not apart of any Moms panel or whatever, either.


DH has *almost* agreed! I have to go to Orlando for a conference Nov. 17-21 and I think he is close to agreeing to go the week prior with DS and yank him out of kindergarten! Woo hoo!

Does the PIN apply only to the dates listed I ask becuase the last date shown as "good" was 12/23, yet the end of the card says "book by 12/23"?

Seems kinda odd wording there.

Lastly, do codes ever come out for the summer holidays? My wife is a teacher (and daughter in school) so it's hard for us to get away except in the Summer.

I just got this e-mail also. Unfortunately, I can't use the pin. Although the pin came to MY e-mail address, the e-mail is addressed to my Mom and only she can use the pin. Why are they sending my mom e-mails at my address? Don't know. I made a reservation last year for my extended family of 9 people. Her name is listed first on the reservation - maybe that's why. Sucks to be me today. I was hoping to use this code for my October ressie. Know what's the worst? They even sent me another e-mail later in the day and guess what? Same e-mail.....to my Mom.:confused3

try again, it depends on the CM that you speak with, but you should be able... even if it comes to your home address (post card type) with the wrong name they will USUALLY let you use it... or if a maiden name is on it etc... I say try again!

I've finally convinced DH to take the plunge and he had agreed to go Nov 11-16 and only take DS out of kindergarten for a few days. Last night he says, well, what's a few more days so go ahead and add on the rest of the week.

Soooo, I just got off the phone with a delightful CM and we are paying $2057 for the three of us at ASMovies for 9 nights, 10 days, 7 days of tickets plus the dining plan. The CM ran the same booking without the pin and we are saving around $510 off! That pays for the DDP easily.

Now just to get rid of the guilt of him missing a week of kindergarten.

I say we sorta booked because we put a 14 day hold on the ressie. I've never done that before and it makes me nervous so hopefully DH will not back out between now and our $200 deposit!
