Ok so I had to post this... i just love the light effects. Nala our youngest cat catching some rays in the morning sun from the lounge windows... This is completely untouched from the original besides a resize to make it board-friendly:

EDIT: You can just make out the tips of our older cat dozing in the bed in the window bay....

She(?) looks comfy, soaking in the sunlight.
that is a good capture of a tricky lighting situation. you can see details in the face.
could you crop the right side some, and repost it? it would, cut out the knobs on the wall. and I think it would look nice.

oh, and then print it and hang it right behind the kitty and take another picture, hehhehehehehee

She was very comfy... but then she can get comfy anywhere, even hanging half out of her bed etc!!
Every time I think about upgrading my P&S camera (a panasonic Lumix DMC-LS2) i snap a quickie like that and decide against it..... To get the detail i used the blank wall as a spot point so the camera metered the light based on that - if i'd used the kitten's dark features i'd have too dark a shot methinks!
A bit of quick 'n' dirty 'shopping a photo frame on the wall.. i didn't bother aligning the perspective properly, just did it for a laugh hehe:
