AP discounts for August and dining question

Can anyone tell me if they have been successful getting an AP discount for the 3rd week of August? I'm specifically looking for the Poly. Also if I book a room and have an AP can I still add the dining even if no discount is available? thanks

yes you can still add dining even without the discounted room and good luck finding an AP room for august or even a rack rate room for august

Yes, we just booked (today) AKL with AP discount. The only other deluxe available then with the discount was Beach Club king bed.

How much is the discount? I just purchased an AP today, but need to take my voucher when we go on 8/24/08. I can't find anything about AP discounts on rooms.

my understanding is that if you have an AP and *don't* want to have to buy tix, the only way to add dining is if there is an AP rate available for the dates of your stay.

not true. theres a standard ap plus dining package that goes until the end of the year that doesnt need a discounted room

until the end of the year? the cms i have spoken to do not know about it, then. as far as i know, right now the "AP package" only goes through 9/27. We also have a December trip planned, and there are no "AP packages" available for that yet, so right now I have a room-only reservation.
And even for packages available through 9/27, I was told that there has to be "AP rooms" available in order to get it. In fact, when I booked my AP package for September, the CM had to get another CM help her to "get" my room the second she released it so i wouldn't lose my rate when I changed my room-only reservation into a package b/c there were no more AP rooms available at POP for my dates.
