AP Question

Hi all, I have a question regarding AP's.. I'm currently deciding if I should buy one and if it would be beneficial for me. I'm already booked for 7 days in Dec, am considering (very last minute) booking this August for about 6 days and would like to go sometime next year aside from Dec to do P&P party... If I was to go this Aug and get an AP could I still get a room discount? I'm thinking around the 3rd week of August? Secondly, when you book with an AP , how do I go about adding dining for my whole family as well as park passes for them as well? Can you add this all on so basically I can still have my disney package including all dining,park passes and room discount even though I've booked with an AP?? Hopefully makes sense! I think I'm going enough trips to warrant the AP but am not really willing to give up the dining plan which I think is great... Any suggestions?

Be forewarned that an AP can = unexpected quickie trips! I am not sure if you can get free dining if you book, say an AP discounted room, but others may correct me on that. For this August you could still get an AP discount rate room if they're available when you want to go, just be sure to have your activated pass prior to check in.

You can get the dining plan without purchasing park tickets if you have a AP till the end of the year
