First post in this forum!

I've been doing paper scrapbooks for several years now...I'm thinking about moving to digital scrapping because I don't have the space to store the clutter / accouterments of a die cutting machine. The scrapping tote is busting at the seams, and that's all the storage space I have! So, I think I have to go digital to advance. I've read the FAQs and I have these two questions:

1. Are there any Mac users on this board who can recommend a good program to use? I'm leaning toward Photoshop Elements, but I'm having a hard time figuring out which other scrapping applications are actually Mac useable (and not just an awkward port of a PC app.)

2. This might be dumb - I have stacks of various papers - some of which I really like. If I scan those papers, can I make my own digital 12x12 scrapping paper?

Thanks!

I don't use a Mac, but my SIL is a graphic designer and she uses a Mac. She uses Photoshop CS3. I use Elements 5.0 (I'm a PC-er though).........So I know the photoshop stuff will work fine on a Mac....PSE is just a cheaper investment to get started (which is why I have it)

as for scanning, sure if you want to, you can scan papers you already have....i've done that in the past, but it was too much of a hassle, so unless it's something super-important, i'd say don't bother. it MIGHT be a copyright issue though, so I dunno...I quit doing it for that reason....if you ever post a LO anywhere, you have to give credit, and I dunno about you, but i have no idea where my papers came from! :lmao:

hopefully somebody else will respond with better specifics for ya......have fun!
