May 9th with be our first cruise and I have some questions on how to dress for dinner. Does my husband need to wear a sportcoat? How about my dd (7) and I. Do we need to wear dresses? Like a sundress or is it more formal? I know you can't wear shorts but I'm just not sure how dressy we need to be. Thank you!

A sportcoat with khakis and an open-collared golf shirt would be great for the night you're in Triton's. The same, minus the jacket for the other two nights.

A sundress would be fine.

I also am interested in hearing these responses. Just how casual can you dress for dinner and how formal on a 4 night cruise. (It will be my two little children and I). Thanks :)

After reading the brochures, etc. it looks like there is no formal night, no shorts, tee shirts or jeans at dinner, Men should bring a jacket for one night, ladies can wear dresses or slacks & blouse, pant suits. Daytime wear is casual.

Thanks everyone for your reponses. I guess I'd better start packing! 17 more days to WDW and 23 more days till the cruise:D

I just returned from the three day cruise. I wore a polo and slacks, as did about 99% of the men did. Very, very few wore ties or jackets. We did not do Palo's, so I can't comment on that.
have fun. :)
