Hi everyone,
This is my first post on the boards as we've just booked our first trip to WDW, Oct 2 - 7th. Technically this is my husband's first time as I was 12 when I went way back in 1993.
This trip is a very generous gift from my parents. My husband and I have had a very rough year as I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and then recently suffered a miscarriage.
We have always wanted to visit WDW and had planned to go on our honeymoon after our wedding last year but with everything that's happened we didn't make it. So finally, we're booked!
Disney is truly a lifeline for us. What better medicine than the happiest place on Earth? :) I look forward to joining the boards, you seem like a very positive, life-loving bunch.

And what an AMAZING gift to you and your husband! Sounds like the two of you are in need of some "TLC" like only Disney can give!:goodvibes Wishing you the best trip ever and hopefully a "dream" or two from the Dream Squad! Check out the trip report threads - may inspire you to start a pre-trip report of your own. :) We here on the dis live vicariously through the obssessive planning of other dissers! ;) Anyhoo, look forward to "seeing" you around the boards!

OMG !! It sounds like you both deserve this getaway! Disney is my favorite vacation spot. I didn't go until I was 42 years old and it was everything I thought it would be. I know you'll enjoy it . And welcome to the boards, too. You'll become addicted to this place (as I have in just a few short months.) It's my daily Disney fix! Enjoy your trip and let us hear about it.:goodvibes

Congratulations on the upcoming trip. I hope you have a lot of fun and make a lot of great memories! Where else can you forget you are an adult, don a set of mickey ears that clash with your pirate themed shirt, skip to Splash Mtn and NO ONE looks at you funny. Well at least no one who really gets it like the people on the DIS boards. :wizard:

I'm sure you'll love it here, it's a great place to come get your daily disney fix and hang with other crazy disney lovers! :mickeyjum I'm sorry to hear of the tough year you've been having and am sending a prayer for strength and courage for you, and your DH, for all you have and will be going through. Disney as well as the disboards, will surely be a source of fun and happiness, and even comfort at times, I know it always makes me 'feel like, okay now I'm home, aahhhh...'
That was so wonderful of your parents to help make this dream come true for you guys! I hope you and DH have a most wonderful and romantic time at GF, and have the 'disneyiest' time of your lives!! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: Don't forget to come back and tell us about your trip, or maybe even do a trip report, and even a pretrippie as another poster suggested! :goodvibes
