within the past few weeks, we've discussed on these boards the big changes in Castaway Club. For those CC members who have cruised recently, can you shed any truth on them?

--Pins....it was mentioned that Castaway Club pins are received upon checking in at the Priority Line only.....true? Did anyone get theirs?

--Gift.....is it still a duffle bag in your room, or did they do away with that also?

--Magazine.....is it gone?

Any other changes you can think of?

We just returned from the April 6-13 Magic, and we received the black bag and water bottle.
We did not receive pins at check-in.....CM did not know what I was talking about.
Not sure about the magazine, maybe someone else can help us.

What's the latest on the CC member beni's? I've read they replaced the bag with towels, no more pins, and I've never seen a magazine in over two years! I did find though that since I booked my first trip with AAA they got all my CC mailings and nothing was ever forwarded to me. I tried to change my address a few months ago but I haven't seen any thing since.

Do all I have to look forward to is a seperate check in line at PC?

I believe they still have the returning cruisers CC Reception and they do still provide the gift in your stateroom.

On the May 12 Wonder cruise, CC benefits included the CC check-in line, gifts in the stateroom including the black duffel with sports bottle (I got other gifts but they didn't appear to be CC related), and the invitation to the CC reception. The pin was in the envelope with the invitation. The "returning cruiser" reception was <I>very</I> nice with lots of good food and free drinks, and the captain walked around and made a point to have at least a brief conversation with everyone.

I haven't seen the magazine, and I heard that on the Western Inaugural the returning cruisers got a towel instead of the duffel (?).

On the May 11th cruise we recieved a great towel for a gift instead of the duffel bag. The reception was very nice, lots of food.... so many poeple that they had to use all the clubs on Beat Street!! We heard that there were over 800 CC members onboard that week. We also got pins, but our stateroom host gave them to us.

Just returned from the May 19th Wonder cruise and I also received the Castaway Club towels and pins in the stateroom.
