View Full Version : Where do you buy your tickets
As a first timer to DW in Feb/09 I was wondering where you fellow cdns usually buy your MYW tiks from. From the prices I've compared it seems like the Disney store is the best place.

I purchased my last set of WDW tickets from Undercover Tourist. They were deliverd to my home, no problem!
Prices are rumoured to be going up on Aug. 3, so if you're planning on buying, I would do it soon.:goodvibes

In the past I have purchase from the Disney website and last year undercover tourist.
This note came in from Mousesavers
Disney World Ticket Prices Rumored to Go UP on Sunday!
There is a strong rumor that Walt Disney World ticket prices will be going up on Sunday, August 3. If you were planning to buy tickets, now is the time! (Walt Disney World tickets can be purchased in advance, because unused tickets are valid forever.)
Don't forget that MouseSavers Newsletter subscribers can get exclusive, extra discounts on selected Walt Disney World tickets sold by Undercover Tourist through the special "secret" link below. However, be sure to buy as soon as possible, because Undercover Tourist has limited stock of the pre-price-increase tickets. Once those are gone, they'll have to raise their prices.
If you would like me to forward you the link pm me your email and I will forward the mousesavers email.
From what i recall it saved use $35.00 last year!

We now buy our tickets from www.mapleleaftickets.com they have decent prices and will ship to you directly or even to the resort for you to pick up when you arrive.

I bought mine at the Disney Store. They are sold there at par. I was able to let everyone in the family pick out their special card too with their favourite characters. It was tricky getting them as the 5 day base adults were super hard to find and sold out quickly. But now we have out tickets/cards in hand with us and we're ready to go!

We got ours from Undercover Tourist too - would definitely recommend them. We had no problems whatsoever with our order.

We save airmiles and get them for free whenever possible. We have used undercovertourist and mapleleaf in the past when we didn't have enough airmiles for them all.

When I was pricing tickets for my sister, Undercover Tourist (with the newsletter secret discount link), was by far the cheapest. I checked several different sources, including Disney's website (admittedly, haven't checked the store), CAA (informally - not the one's my DSis was buying, but other ones were more expensive), Maple Leaf, and Official Ticket Center.
Just be careful to consider both tax and shipping to Canada if buying online. I know UT includes these things (unless you want to ship express), plus has a refund policy.
As others have mentioned, it's rumoured that prices are going up, so if you're planning a trip soon, it may be wise to consider buying those tickets this week.

I have heard CAA have cheaper prices than Disney Store. We are going for Christmas 08, and was planning on having tons of time to do research. However if prices are going up I need to shop now! Any help would be appreciated. OH I just purchased my MVMCP tickets and managed to get the last reservation and Cinderella's Royal Table that was available during our stay. This is months away, and I thought I had lots of time. HA on me!

it will depend on if you buy a pass that expires or one that doesn't expire.

Just remember if you plan on purchasing a Dining plan you will need to buy at least a 1 day ticket to your package. I had no idea. Bought my tickets through Airmiles then when i booked my pkg with Dining i had to buy a 1 day pass. But thats ok, i can use it towards our trip next year :goodvibes

Mapleleaf tickets is honoring the old pricing until today.
But I see the prices aren't going up a lot anyway. We were going to get ours through them, but didn't know you could use airmiles for that...will have to look into that one.

We buy them online and get them as Will Call. It's a little more than if you buy them through a ticket agent but it's minimal and, that way, I don't have to worry about forgetting them at home or losing them in transit.

O.K. so I checked mapleleaftickets.com and also the link from mousesavers.com, and I found an even better deal from www.greatorlandodiscounts.com. So I think tomorrow we'll buy from them. :thumbsup2

That's why we are going with Mapleleaf tickets...we are just going to go in and get them there, no shipping required.:thumbsup2
CAA also has the tickets right there so they don't need to be mailed to you, if you are a member with them.
