So I just did my first shirt! It looks great except for one BIG thing....I did a white background transfer on a red shirt, and it looks like the red is bleeding through the white background?:confused3 . It almost looks like the iron marks? Did I keep the iron on for too long? I used Wilton dark transfers...

Oh no! I know how vervous you were to do these!!! I'm glad you got the courage to give them a try!!
I'm not sure why the red looks like that :confused3 I'm sure someone else here has had the same problem and will know what to do.
Good luck with the rest of your shirts!!

I had a shirt once where I think the color bled onto the iron and smeared the transfer near the corners. That was just a little though. I do think you can iron too long or hot and get some color through dark transfers. It may help to post a picture to diagnose your problem, but I think overall red is tricky. Also may bleed when you wash it!

I'm thinking the iron was too hot or you held it down too long. Are you sure you didn't use a light transfer sheet by accident? Since I started these, I turned down my iron to the polyester setting (my shirts are 50/50) and I've had better luck!! Keep trying tho - I think we've all made mistakes in the beginning!

That was it! I just ironed for a shorter time and it didn't bleed through! Looks great! JUst hope it holds up to washing and doesn't peel off...wow..I see how this can get addicting!:lmao:
