We booked the DDP for our trip in Nov. and have AP's. We would most likely want to use the DP/DDP for our trip in March as well. Is there some sort of reduced rate or AP rate for dining plans???

No. Everyone APs or not, pays the same price for the DDP.

AP-ers can buy the the DDE membership card. THEN they get a 20% discount on mainly sit down meals.

However, that is completely separate from the Disney Dining Plan. On the plan, you prepay your meals. If you use DDE, the discount is taken from the full bill when you pay for the meal.

There are some differences - DDE discounts apply to alcoholic beverages, and the number of counter service places where DDE is accepted is very limited. DDE also has blackout dates, usually major holidays.
