I thought I'd do poll to see what people preferred activity for the night before our PodCast Cruise. I think I have listed the options that have been mentioned in the PodCast Cruise thread.
Dessert Party for Illuminations
Illuminations Cruise
Wishes Cruise
JellyRolls
Kimonos for Karaoke
Kim
P.S. I meant to make this a poll but pushed the wrong button

There are enough of us to say that we probably won't fit on a Specialty Cruise, and doubt that we'd be able to get more than one or 2. Even if we had all 5 pontoons and a Breathless, that's only room for 55 or so. So I'll say that's out.
I'm all for JellyRolls, smokey though it may be. I can handle smoke. I don't know about everyone.
I fear Karaoke. Someone may request ABBA.

In order of preference for me:
JellyRolls- cause pod people who don't have tickets can go and its right by the Dolphin.
Kimonos for Karaoke-cause I've never been there.
Wishes Cruise cause I've never done it and you don't need tickets.
Dessert Party for Illuminations
Illuminations Cruise-Last cause I've already done it once and we got a bad view and I had to pee and couldn't!

You're just asking for it!! ABBA requests at Jellyrolls are easily made...
I'm starting to wonder if this is a Br'er Rabbit/Briar Patch kinda situation wherein you're actually a HUGE ABBA fan...

My first choice would be Jellyrolls!
While i'd love to do a dessert party in Epcot, I think the logistics of it would prove expensive and difficult.

I vote Jellyrolls but we aren't bringing our kids...Illuminations Dessert Party would be my 2nd choice - it is an incredible experience but can be a little pricey (albeit, an experience you don't get to do on every Disney trip)

jellyrolls

I also vote for Jellyrolls-perhaps a little Greek Dancing to ABBA music- or perhaps swaying would be more appropriate -and then we could ease into the sound track from Wicked with a little Judy Garland on the side.:dance3:

Whatever we do, I think we should have matching outfits -- that way everyone will know we belong to a special group. How about this idea: we could make our outfits out of foil. No, I guess that's crazy...who would ever do something like that?

OK, I can do this! No sewing involved. Just a stop at Wal Mart to pick up a couple of roll of foil. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

OK, L/K you got me!! :rotfl2:
Reading my email (sans photo), I figured this would be a "foil helmet" thing (which doesn't sound like a bad idea to keep you  people from reading my mind), but so much funnier!! :lmao:
Let's see.. so many ways to go here...
1) Voulez-vous une pomme de terre en robe des champs ? (a baked potato)
2) Mindy, your attempts to avoid ABBA have been foiled.... :p
3) I never knew ABBA was a Wrap group!! (As in Reynolds) :headache:

I was wondering the same. Apparently some shrinkage can occur during packaging... :rotfl2: In fairness, it's cold in Sweden...

As much as I'd love to do any of these activities, we will have our children with us. Someone mentioned doing activity for those of us with kids like meeting for ice-cream.
Kevin, is there a podcast rate for lockers?

Madi,
My dd won't fit in a locker anymore...
Anyway, maybe those of us with kids could meet at the ice cream shop in the Swan (or is it Dolphin). Then, maybe our DH's could take the kids for us whilst we run over to the piano bar! That way we could do both!!!;)

We're still trying to decide where we want to stay the night before. At this point we're leaning towards staying near the port in one of the hotels that offers breakfast and a shuttle. Our reason for doing this is that most of the west coast flights don't get into MCO until 5 or 6pm, which would put us at our resort and in the room by 7 or so...not a whole lot of time to socialize (especially after we've been travelling all day).
I am watching the red-eyes as well, so maybe if we can get in early Saturday morning we'll stay @ WDW...in which case I'm thinking I really like Jackie's plan -- fill the children with ice cream and then ditch DH's to let them handle the sugar rush!!!

I'm going to give my two cents because I;m still hopping to win a cruise. :worship:
I like the idea of Illuminations dessert party. I went to one last December. It was nice and the view was outstanding. I also went to one at Fantasmic and there's blew Illuminations out of the water so to speak. Very very nice, great seats to a great show. So my vote would be a Fantasmic dessert party if that coinsides with when the cruise leaves. Next year Fantasmic will only be on Monday's and Thursday's. My second vote is for Illumiations dessert party followed by a private ride on Soarin.
