View Full Version : Ticket Price Increases?

Does anyone know if Disney has announced any ticket price increases for late 2008/2009? I know Disney raised prices in August 2008.

I've searched this great internet of ours and haven't found anything. But that doesn't mean it's not possible. So, I figured if anyone would know about ticket price increases it would be DIS'ers.

Thank you in advance!

Best Wishes.

There was a few threads about this on the Theme Park Strategies board yesterday.

Posters in the thread advised that Undercover Tourist states on their website that their ticket prices will be increasing on August 3rd.

Thank you. I knew I had seen it somewhere and that I wasn't completely out of my mind.

I'll head over to the other forum.

We were already considering purchasing tickets in the short-term. This just sets our limit.

If they are going to raise prices, it will probably happen soon, but they can change them tomorrow if they wanted to, or any other day..

We heard about the possible rate hike as of August 3rd too. I'm going to buy the remainder of our AP's tomorrow just because I'd rather be safe than sorry. Last time we were caught off guard and I was none too happy.

I know everybody seems to favor Undercover Tourist. However, I clicked on the "tickets" link on this site, WDW Info, and it took me to Dreams Unlimited Travel. I am looking to buy a 10 day adult Parks and More w/non expiration. The total for each site is:
Undercover: $459.95
Dreams: $434.35 (includes $3 shipping and tax)
Has anybody used Dreams? I assume that as they are linked to this site they are reliable.
Thanks.

Are you using the Mousesavers's Newsletter link for UT? You also don't specify if you are looking at the hopper or non-hopper...but either way, UT's prices are much lower than what your posting so I assume you don't have the special Mousesaver's link to access that special pricing structure?

Be sure that you are comparing the same exact tickets and that both prices include tax. Most sites add the tax when you are checking out, not on the initial listed price. Undercover's price listed includes tax.

Tried using the mousesaver link to UCT and it's nor showing mousesaver discount . Any ideas? I've tried clearing cookies and starting over but it won't give me the discount. Thoughts?

Maybe I'm going crazy then cause I couls have sworn that the price for the 10 day park hopper +WPFM with NE used to be around $472 with the link discount. Today, it's showing up as $495 for me.

I just checked my link and a 10 day hopper NE w/WPFM was $475.95. Without the WPFM it was in the $430's.

dumb question- but can someone make sure I'm understanding this correctly? On UT's site, a 3 day park hopper says "plus 3 days free" - now does that essentially mean it's a 6 day park hopper? And that's why the 3, 4, and 5 day park hopper are all the same price because they all equal 6 days with the "free days" policy?

After you posted this, I used the Mousesaver's link to UT, and I get a price of $458.95 for 10 day non-expiring (without park hopper). Dreams Unlimited comes to $434.35, which includes the tax and shipping they ad. Am I missing something?
OK, so I gess I'm a little slow. ;-) I see now that the low prices are only available through a link in the Mousesavers newsletter. I subscribed, but will get it too late for the price increase. Can someone please post the link here? Thanks.

From what I can tell, you aren't comparing the same ticket.

The ticket at UT listed for $458.95 is a 10 day no-expiration water park fun and more.

The ticket at Dreams listed for $434.35 is a 10 day no-expiration ticket. It does not appear to be the water park fun and more.

Unless I didn't see the same tickets you saw, which is possible too! Comparing prices on disney tickets is enough to make my head spin! There are too many different types!

Boy is my face red! Either the price went up since this morning, or I indeed checked the wrong box and you are correct. I am looking for the 10 day non-expiring water park fun and more, and that is $455 + shipping and tax for a total of $487.60 at Dreams Unlimited. Now if someone would post a link for the lower price at UT, I could get done before my head explodes.

Hello all--

I'd be really greatful if someone would PM to me the link or newsletter with the mousesavers discount for tickets at Undercover Tourist. :worship: We are headed to WDW for our first trip in september and it looks like I'd better order the tickets ASAP.

Thanks in advance if anyone can help!
