Hi, dd is too young for the trail rides at FW, I was wondering if she's too old for the pony rides? Thanks! S

It's been 4 years since we did this but at that time I'm pretty sure the weight limit was 80 pounds. There was no age limit. At least, this will bump up your post so maybe someone with more recent experience can reply.

My DD is or will be 81/2 for our upcoming trip and we are doing trail ride. We know people that have done the trail ride and they just have you sign a waiver for your children. They don't actually worry about the age when you get there. They said there were very young ones riding(possibly 6) and nothing was said.

We asked in January and was told that the age limit was 8 and the weight limit was 80lbs. There was a child on a pony at the time that looked older and larger than that. The ride however might not be much fun for a kid much older that 7 or 8. It was a very slow led ride aound a small enclosed area. A perfect safe ride for younger kids.

LOL TerryN,

Your count down is way cool! If you are like me, you say things like, "Five days from right now we will be watching the MK 3pm parade!"

The Pony Rides, Trail Rides and Petting Zoo are at Fort Wilderness Campgrounds.

On one "off" day (no park day) we will visit the Petting Zoo and the Pony Rides. Hope that helps! Sandra
