I am devestated beyond words. I keep expecting her to walk around the corner any minute. She was so sick.. I spent close to $800 this week to try to save her life but it was not meant to be. In the end the feeding tube and meds only prolonged the inevitible. I was up with her all last night holding her while she seized. I am just so sad!!!!!!:sad1: :sad1:

I am so sorry for your loss:hug: . This poem always has given me comfort when I lost a furbaby.
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

That is a great poem. I am going to share that with my DD8. We lost our 19year old cat, then our cocketiel, and last week our beloved rabbit. Needless to say she is devastated.
I think that is the worst part of trying to grieve... not seeing them there.
Losing a pet is so painful.
Big Hugs.

I am sorry for your loss. It is so hard to watch a pet suffer. Take care of yourself and remember all the fun times you had with your kitty.

Working in a small family owned pet store and firmly believing that pets are family too I can understand the loss you are feeling and my heart goes out to you :( The day I lost my 16 yr old baby Katy the Kitty I felt so empty and I thought I would never hear the talkative meows again(she was very vocal) then an odd thing happened one of my other cats started being more talkative than ever and though I found it strange I also found it comforting. I truly believe that in someway my Katy was part of this.I'm sure your sweet Molly will send you comforts of her own:angel: The one most important thing to remember is that you gave her a wonderful life and I am sure she felt all of your love

I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a furbaby hurts so much -- I lost my Max kitty 2.5 years ago and still miss him a lot. Time heals the pain, but you never stop loving them and missing them.

:grouphug: I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a beloved pet is just like losing any other family member. I hope that your kitty leaves some jingles or meows behind to comfort you. I will keep you both in my thoughts.

I'm so sorry about your Molly. I have several furbabies, and it's as bad losing them as it is any other family member. We live in hope that the Rainbow Bridge exists.
Just remember, because of you she was fed, cared for and loved. Please think about getting another to give a home to - you're not replacing her, you'll be repaying her for all the pleasure she gave you by caring for another cat that, until then, has no home.

I am so sorry for your loss and I can honestly say I know how you feel because we had to put our beloved kitty 'Stitch' to sleep just yesterday. She was only 5 years old. Like your kitty Stitch had a feeding tube and was on various medications but it just prolonged the inevitable. She'd been sick since March and the vet really thought he could save her but her body just couldn't take it anymore. She was so tired.
:sad1:
Here's a picture of her when she was healthy .....

I know how you must be feeling, I had to have my beloved cat Tommy put to sleep on 10 July as he was suffering badly with tumours. I know he was 15 years old, but he played like a young cat and I never thought of him as old.
My other cat Eric misses him like mad, they used to snuggle up together on my bed at night - keeping my feet warm!
