Editing to add I work PT as a CM at TDS....Mystery solved...SORRY GUYS!!
So I get a letter in the mail today and I usually don't open anything that looks like junk mail but this had some weight to it.
Inside was a letter from Bob Iger (a form letter not a personal letter) in it is 4 adult one day park hopper cards with my name on them....it says admission either into WDW, DL, DL Paris or Hong Kong.
The letter says Thanks fro the support and drops names of Wall E, Prince Caspian Camp Rock, HSM and Get in the Picture.
We look forward to another summer at our parks and resorts ....... no matter what Disney Park you visit a magical memorable experience awaits.
Take some time with your loved ones to explore...
Anyone else get this?? :confused3

You don't even open DISNEY junk mail? Or wasn't it obviously from Disney?
I always open their stuff no matter what it looks like.
Anyway.....WOW that is very cool. I wonder what the deal is? Do you have any vacations coming up? Did you write or email to complain about something?
There is a new phone number somewhere that you can call to check the number of days left on Disney tickets, maybe someone knows it, so you can call and see if they are legit.......although I can't imagine why someone would send you fake tickets. :confused3

Sweet.
I wonder is this is going out to a lot of people?
Interesting. If they are legit the first thing that comes to mind is bookings are down and they are handing out 1 day tickets at random to encourage guest visits. Kind of like the coveted post cards with pin numbers on them for resort discounts.

Wow. That was awesome. I hope I get a treat like that in the mail some day!
Actually, not too long ago, I got an email from Disney asking to do a survey. I did the survey- it was LOOONG, and it was all about what you would do if you were given 1 FREE DAY at the parks for your birthday. How it would effect your plans-like would you plan a trip just to use them, or add a day to your stay to use them or change your dates... etc., etc., etc., and it was about NEXT year, 2009.
Do the tickets have any kind of date on them?
Or I wonder if they're just trying out the program a little, to see if anyone acts on it, there's probably some kind of tracking info.... Being July, they've got 6 mos left in the year to try this out before putting any type of real program in action or really beginning an actual campaign on it.
I'm sooo curious..... and I sooooo want to recieve 4 tickets.

Well, this is certainly interesting too. An email survey about what you would do with a free day at the parks and tickets for a free day. Mmmmmmm :scratchin

that makes sense, the idea that bookings are down so they're trying to generate business...

Smart move by Disney. They know that a nice % of people who receive this kind of free stay for one day will extend their stay once in town. A free day at WDW is just the kind of incentive that many people will take advantage of and turn it into a longer stay.
Very wise.

Any update on the validity of those one day tickets. If it turns out to be legit that is a wonderful marketing strategy from Disney. Now how do I get on there mailing list?

I kinda checked around on some other boards here, I didn't see anyone else posting about something like this, which I'm sure they would have, so at the moment it seems Mommyceratops is the only DIS'er to get free Disney tickets.
Curiouser and curiouser. :scratchin

I saw this post this morning and thought it was interesting......
Well, I went to get my mail today and there was this strange envelope with "Disney Parks and Resorts" as the return address. It also has this large sticker on it that said "Time Sensitive Material".
Needless to say I got VERY excited and tore riight into it.....All it was a Magic Your Way Ticket pamphlet! That's it - nothing else. I called and spoke with a very nice CM who checked and rechecked my account / profile and could not come up with any reason that I was sent something. I was hoping that I was supposed to have a pin code or possibly something like Kim received, but of course I got nothing of the sort!
I thought maybe it was a revised pamphlet reflecting the changes to Pleasure Island or something but it was just the same old pamphlet explaining how to purchase and customize your MYW tickets!
Just thought I'd share my disappointing mail with you all!

Oh wow, bummer!!!! That stinks, I would have flipped too if I got mail from Disney today, I do get quite a bit of stuff from them, I'm signed up for everything possible, but they have never sent me just a pamphlet. Why would they send just a pamphlet???? It gets stranger and stranger. :scratchin

Thanks! I can't believe my baby is 8!! He has always had health problems so every birthday is a huge celebration! :yay: He has ripped through his presents and playing with his new dinosaurs.
I am very excited about the tickets! Totally shocked I didn't expect any...so I am loving it!! Even ones who never work are getting love.
A friend of mine who I work with just got some nice rates to go down to WDW in a couple weeks to use her tickets...I am sure TDS CM's will be going down stimulating their economy very soon!!! :) We missed not being a real Disney Cast Member!

Four?! When I worked there (back in the original Disney-owned days, goofy letterman sweaters, shorts, nylons, and white socks and all), we got two per six months.
That's awesome! Hooray! I think I still have a set of mine I never used. I gave the other 2 sets (I was seasonal for 2 school years) to a college professor who was headed there for one day back when anybody could use them.
