How nice that NOLA may be in (now we can get some authentic roadkill goodies)... the real question is what drinks will be served, they have to put Abita up as the beer...then the hard part Do you do a Hurricane or a Handgernade ????

Rio too.... We definately will need more beads for this food and wine fest...

Thanks for the good news!

I amso glad that NOLA is included this year!

It's funny, I just made my roux yesterday for my seafood gumbo and my dh came home last night with 4 dozen crabs. So today I am picking crab and having the gumbo for dinner tonight.

That sounds wonderful.

John, thanks for the update. We can't wait for Food & Wine. We just added another day to our trip, which will give us more time to sample the food!

Sweet! I was able to go to Rio de Janeiro last summer, and I'm curious what kind of food they will showcase to the city. They have an excellent mojeeto type drink called a capirhina, and I was able to go to an authentic Brazilian steakhouse called Porcao that was incredible. That's what O'hana should strive for.

I was also able to walk along Copacabana beach and order a fresh coconut. They would cut off the top, stick a straw in it, and hand it to you. It was delicious.

I can't wait to hear what they have to offer.

Thanks John. We definitely need to get Julie and Corey to check out the NOLA booth on the first day of F&W so the rest of us know if its worth our time.

So many booths, so little time.

Sounds great....can't wait to go. I am so looking forward to the F&W. I am hoping to expose DD10 to as much food as possible.

The first pic of the meat below is how they do it here at a Brazilian restaurant in Plymouth. Mindy have you been to the Brazilian Cafe in N. Plymouth? OKW Lover, have you tried it??

DD and I will start studying pictures of the Podcast Crew in hopes of meeting them during our trip.

Here's hoping they keep the NOLA pavilion as far from World Showcase Lagoon as possible... I'm just sayin....

The Bay Lake gators could be served on sticks. Cafe du Monde beignets a must...

As for drinks, I'd vote for Pat O's Hurricanes. pirate:

How cool. Victoria is actually the state, city is Melbourne. I wonder what they will have. Maybe a four n twenty meat pie and VB.

Thanks for clearing that up PrincessBelle - I heard it as Victoria/Melbourne so I assume the city being represented is Melbourne.

I appreciate the geography lesson. Hopefully one day I will get to see it first hand.

And I totally see Corey and Julie avoiding that kiosk like the plague. I have this "thing" about when I go to WDW, I don't want anything there that I have here in my own backyard as a regional specialty or a chain. If they had a Chicago kiosk with Chicago style deep dish pizza, Italian beef sandwiches, and Chicago style hot dogs....I'd just keep walking.

As it is, I won't go to Planet Hollywood or Rainforest Cafe when I am at WDW because I can find them here, too. When I'm at WDW, I want to eat at places I don't have here.

NOLA - YUMMMMMM

No offense to my friends in Copenhagen, but having spent the last seven months there all I can say is ..... That is one booth I will be avoiding like the plague.
