Tell me about Sassagoula Floatworks!

We stayed at the Port orleans in 1998. It is quite a nice counter service restaurant. I thought it was fine. My kids loved going there in the evenings after the parks and buying burgers and the chewy rice krispy things. We had breakfast there a couple of mornings. It was fine. It has a really nice layout. Lots of Mardi Gras stuff is hanging from the ceiling.

I have read on a lot of forums that the Beignets are really nice, so will try them when we go in September.

We breakfast there about 6 times in May. The beignets are too die for!! But apart from that we only had cereal and fruit so not much help on cooked items!! The place was clean though and not too busy - could always get a table.

we went to have a look in feb at french quater and everyone had them beignets but I didnt try them, the food court was so nice

Stayed POFQ May 07 & loved it. Enjoyed the food court, staff lovely, never seemed too crowded, liked burgers, choc cake & ice creams. On our last day they made us sandwiches of our choice & wrapped them in foil for the journey even though they were serving breakfast.

We ate there for breakfast most days and a couple of lunches/dinners too, we found it fine :) Obviously not gourmet cuisine but it satisfied us and they had a good selection, not just fast food type stuff. I enjoyed the potroast with mash (there are more dishes than the menu on Allears shows) and they were always accomodating when my bf asked for dishes to be made without meat. Ooh, also! My bf tried one of the milkshakes and said it was great: You can get any flavour of the ice-cream that they have :)

We ate there a few times on our 2 night stay (pre-cruise) this past May. Breakfasts and dinners were great, we always managed to get a table and it was kept nice and clean. :thumbsup2
