Just looking for opinions here..... Dh and I booked a DVC stay at OKW (studio) for next month. Last month, we added a night onto the beginning of the vacation so we could see Spectro & the fireworks. We decided to stay at the GF (never have) so we could be on the monorail -- it would make it easier to shoot over to the MK for dinner & Spectro on Saturday night, and then we have an 8 a.m. PS at Crystal Palace Sunday. Got a Lodge Tower room for the AP rate of $350 (it was either that or concierge).
Then, this past week, we added on add'l DVC points. We now have enough available in our 2001 use year to switch that first night to an OKW studio, which would mean not having to move at all during our vacation, and would save us $350.
Looking at it typed out, it seems like a no-brainer: cancel GF, save big bucks, don't go through the hassle of moving. But I admit though that we're both a little concerned about the transportation from OKW and getting to the MK by 8. And we never have stayed at the GF......
Any thoughts/opinions?
