The shopping list is quite handy. It starts of with a basic list but stores items you enter. Your shopping list is shown on a different page and remains there till you delete it. It was only 59 p. If I buy any more I will let you know.

Totally off subject. Has anyone mastered the art of adding ringtones? I was super excited when I got my iphone thinking of all the choice I would have. Now it seems you need to have a degree in computing to get a decent ringtone:rotfl:

I was wondering that Reid but didn't want to seem like a numpty.
I wish someone would hack me a decent ringtone:rotfl:
aye it does. For ringtones you should be able to find something on the net that'll convert your mp3's to ringtones, they can only last 30 seconds tho. I personally I never bothered as my phone is always on silent!

By jail breaking my touch I was able to add 'installer' ages ago, long before it was officialy available on the touch. I'm also able do get loads of cool apps which aren't on the itunes apps store.
The down side is that you can 'brick' your ipod and apple won't help you. I'm also stuck on filmware 1.1.1 so I can't buy or rent films on itunes.

That's a shame. I've an Ipod Touch but I use my 160gb Ipod more. I would be lost without the films and tv programmes sometimes.

Luckily I can still add my own dvd's.
I'm going to add Heroes season 2 when I buy it, so I can watch it on the plane journey to Orlando when I go in October. :)

I've not quite gotten that far yet. Although I successfuly copied music from my ipod mini onto my current version of Itunes at the weekend:thumbsup2
What software would you recommend for adding dvds to your ipod?
I've just been on my photobucket site here on the laptop and just looked at my I phone and all the photos have downloaded to it :confused3

I use Handbrake (which was recommended to me on another forum, just google it it's a free programme) it's a bit tricky the first couple of times you use it but there's a FAQ to help you. It gives you a great picture and I've never had any problems with it.

Loopt - which allows you to find iPhone friends using google maps and
AirRemote - which lets you control other AV equipment with your iPhone.

Thought I would update all the Iphone fans here with the apps I have been using this week.
I'm a fan of both poker and chess. I added Caissa Chess, Chess Classics and Motion X Poker Dice. I'm really loving Caissa and Poker Dice. I also added Pac-Man. Very good as well.
I love bejeweled2 getting quite good at it
Got monkey ball but can't get past the 4 or 5 level
downloaded the free currency which is good and the compass but can't figure it out every time it is showing a different way
how did you get the ringtone :confused3

My lovely boyfriend makes iphone apps.
He has a hangman app and a tic-tac-toe app. They are pretty simple, but if you knew the work that had gone into them, like i do!! :lmao: Then hopefully you'll be as impressed as me. :cutie:
His hangman app is the icon with the noose on it and his "company" name is Jamsoft. :goodvibes
The Tic-Tac-Toe app is still under review so might not be there yet. ;)

I have the iPhone and am looking for Disney related apps. This morning I downloaded the Dining app and it seems to be very informative and (hopefully) useful.
has anyone else downloaded some of the Disney apps (park maps, etc)??

Hi all, had my iPhone from day one (1st model, then 3G version).
Only real way to make ringtones in the UK is using Apple's Garageband music software (which is free when you buy a Mac, part of iLife suite).
Select your fav song, find the bit you like the most and trim to that selection.
Then you can export as a ringtone, works really well. You can do it other ways but this is the 'Official' way!
Now our US cousins of course can use iTunes to do this as songs available as ringtones can be edited directly in iTunes, we have been promised this but as usual we are way behind due to the complexity of copyright laws. BUT...
If you (and we do!) visit the US or have friends, buy a US iTunes voucher, get back home, change iTunes to the US store and you can redeem your voucher. It will ask you to set up a new account, but just set up a Googlemail account or similar (try not to use a co.uk), then you will have an account which will show a balance next to your sign in bar.
I have just bought my wife Enchanted for $9.99 and a movie for myself. I presume you could also buy songs that have ringtones assigned but not done that myself yet.
Applications:
well if you have Sky+, get the TV Plus app (better than the Sky official one)
eBay of course
Universal have one that tells you wait times on rides
Flashlight or MyLite
Bubblewrap
Flixster (movie times)
Sol Free
iPint
Dual Level
Labyrinth LE (Game, very good)
Lightsaber (may the force be with you!)
Lots more!!
Now, when you go to the US, unless you have Data Roaming switched on (and you shouldn't! unless you want a huge bill or have pre-paid for data from o2) you won't be able to use 3G, Wi-Fi is fine at Starbucks, McDonald's etc. This summer will be a huge software update which will hopefully address a few missing issues, one of them will be MMS messaging.

Thanks, I know about the data roaming thing, DH has had an iphone for over a year so we are used to taking that to the states. He also has the lightsaber app on his phone as well as the guitar and maraccas ones (why??) So far I have downloaded some games; card games, tiles, air hockey, the one where you land the aeroplanes and pacman. I have also downloaded the London tube map (we found that useful on DH's phone) plus an app that allows me to put documents from my PC onto my iphone, very useful as I plan on putting all my park touring plans on there from Ridemax to use when I am in the parks. I have also downloaded a converter for currency etc.
Right, I'm going to look at the apps store again!

It is called Olive Toast, and yes it works very well. I now have all my WDW planning docs on my iphone! There is a free version which has a limited amount of space on it, or a £3.99 version which has unlimited space. Now I just need August park hours to come out so I can finish planning! I also did an update of the park maps this morning. They now have a calendar at the top where you choose the date and it tells you the park hours, show/parade times etc too which is useful.

I came across the ticker factory ticker maker today. I've played about with it a little. I think you can create the ticker on your iphone then upload it to a site.
