In the book, the point chart for this time period says TBD. Does anyone know if they have been set yet? Also, for anyone familiar with Arizona weather, would Christmas be a good time to visit? Thanks!

I am a native Arizonan (living in Minnesota - don't ask).
Temps in December can get chilly. There have been times where it didn't get out of the 40s during the day. It depends, and el Nino is going to play a part this year. It can be a bit damp, as well.
I remember getting a snow suit at Christmas, and actually needing it to protect me from the cold. Then again, I remember playing basketball in shorts a couple of Christmases ago while visiting Mom.
Bring a coat, sweaters and gloves. Be prepared NOT to use them!
Remember the Desert gets VERY cold at night. (i.e. 80 during the day, 20s at night).

We went to Tanque Verde this past November and left for home Thanksgiving morning. Most days and evenings were absolutely wonderful. We would wear jackets and jeans in the mornings and pull off the layers during the day. It was definitely warm enough to swim. I would say that it got up to about 85 degrees each day. The evenings were cool, though. I haven't been there closer to Christmas, so I'm not sure if the weather drops dramatically during December. We loved it, though!
Sorry, I don't know about the points. But, everything (and I mean everything!) was included, which made it a wonderful trip!

Being a native Tucsonian the weather here in December is really chilly (in my opinion). The temps in the day range from the 50's to the 60's and the lows in the 30's to the 40's. There will be rain on and off.
"would Christmas be a good time to visit?"
Depending on what you are looking for. If you want green grass and all the cactuses and flowers blooming. Then the answer is no. Other then that it's a good time to come if you don't want to be hot. It does not start to cool off from the hot temperatures until the middle of October and then right after Halloween it really gets chilly.
The Tanque Verde Ranch I have heard is a beautiful resort here in Tucson. One of my co-workers got married there and she raves about it. I think I heard they have horseback riding.
I have no idea on the pts. Sorry.

Thanks everyone. Sounds like the weather might be a little nicer if waited until spring.

The best time to go to Tucson is March and April.
