Wow, wouldn't that be COOL?? Well, I think it would be anyway. How exciting that they are really thinking about that!!

Interesting! If all of that comes to fruition DHS would be in great shape.
Assuming that the Cars ride works over at DCA, I wouldn't mind it replacing the Backlot Tour.
However, if the Backlot Tour is replaced I would like to see some sort of permanent exhibit/attraction that's exclusively dedicated to how movies are made.

This would be great. The Studio park needs alot of help. We only go there for the two main rides and Fantasmic. Cant wait to try out the new Toy Story Mania ride. Thanks for the tip...

When DH and I first saw that movie, we talked about what an awesome ride that would be. I'm, honestly, surprised that it's taken this long.
I even thought that the scene was probably created with a future ride in mind.
Perfect.

Do you have any other sources reporting this? If not, I think this thread should be moved to the Rumours boards.

This has already been posted on the Rumors board, which is where it probably belongs.
I might be wrong, but I think "Jim Hill Media" is actually Latin for "rumor."

This is in fact, still very much a rumor. No official announcement on this yet.
As such, I'll be moving this one over to the Rumors & News Board.
Thanks,

This June we took an Illumination cruise and our captain told us that there was a plan to upgrade HS since Pixar had come on board to make it more competitive w/ Universal. He said that 5 new attractions were already in the works, Toy Mania being the first to open. So maybe there's hope for HS.

I hope so because right now...it's really lacking compared to the other parks. Each park has it's niche, but DHS doesn't really have that. It has a few shows, a couple thrilling rides and a couple other rides. Nothing eye popping outside of the thrill rides and now TSM. I guess we'll see...

I'm really excited for the future of DHS. I especially like this and other ideas about expanding Pixar Place. I look for Disney to reveal massive expansion plans just as Universal reveals theirs for Harry Potter Land.

Our own Pete Werner (founder of Dis Boards) actually reported on this back in April -- read the blog --
