 I will be heading to DW in March of 09. I haven't been able to get the prices for the package deal yet, but I am really confused with the DP. Can you eat a sit down breakfast every morning, and still have a TS dinner? And what about the hoop dee doo revue? Is it 2 credits, or 1. I have seen conflicting results on this. What is the difference between a QS and a CS? I seen where funnel cakes and ice cream, etc... is considered a snack, but when looking on the DP it says that snacks are only fritos, water, fruit, etc...nothing about fudge, funnel cakes and ice cream. I'm so CONFUSED!!!! HELP!!!!

Not sure yet what the 2009 inclusions will be.but for the 2008 Basic dining plan, each member of your party gets 1-counter service credit, 1-table service credit and 1 snack credit per nights stay of your trip.Credits are counted by how many nights you are staying not days.A snack credit is generally an item under $4.There is a sticky thread on the top of the boards that will give you more info.As for HDDR, there are several dining shows and signature restaurants that require 2-Ts credits per person. There is also a deluxe dining plan available, but I am having trouble remmbering what the inclusions are for that. Also, under the basic dp, appetizers and gratuities are not included.

QS is "Quick Service" - same thing as CS "Counter Service." Same exact thing, just different media call it by different names. It is basically a combo meal, drink and dessert at a non-sit-down restaurant.

Have you read the 2008 DDP FAQ thread here on the DIS yet - it really explains everything and helps clear the confusion! Click on this link:

Actually, it says those things are included but it doesn't say ONLY those things are included.

:yay: Thank you all kindly. This stuff is so confusing. I haven't been to Disney since I was 12 years old, thats been 25 years ago. They just started building Epcot, I am really excited about going back and want to try to have everything in order, so that its not a bunch of confusion. I will look into everything everyone told me to. Thanks, sure I'll be back to ask more stupid questions. Wow, glad I started planning this early enough. Thanks, Jen

So, for instance, we will be arriving around noon time, so I was figuring going to Animal Kingdom, and then in the evening going to the Hoop Dee Doo Revue, so I would be able to use my TS, and CS, per each person, and be alright. The same with were doing breakfast with the Princesses one morning, so I would use my snack and CS, for that and still be able to use my TS for dinner that evening, right? I know, lots of questions. It been a quite bit overwhelming. :confused3

Not sure I'm reading the question right, but on your schedule...if you're eating counter/quick service for lunch at the Animal Kingdom, that will be 1 CS credit per person. Then the Hoop Dee Doo Revue will be 2 TS per person. You cannot use counter service credits added to table service to pay for a 2 TS meal...they will take 2 TS credits off your total for each person. To do breakfast with the Princesses, that will be another table service credit, so if you use your TS credit at breakfast, all you have left for the day will be a counter service & and a snack.(all of the character buffets are table service restaurants) If you do Cinderella's royal Table in the castle, that is 2 Table service per person. Course, you can use up your credits any way you want--if you choose to use up all your snack credits on the first day, you can. You can just pay out of pocket for the rest of your trip.

But you can only use the snack credit to apply to snacks; you can only use the Counter service to apply to a counter service meal. You can't combine snack & counter to make a Table service. They keep track of all the credits, and your receipts will tell you how many of each are left. For example, if you have a family of 4 adults, for 4 nights, you'll start out with 4 snack credits for each person, so 16 total snack credits on your room's DDP. If you buy 4 bags of popcorn the first day in the park, your receipt will show 12 remaining snack credits.

To make the credits work, and get best value for the $$, what a lot of people do is have quick breakfasts in the room (poptarts or cereal bars...that kind of thing.) Then use the counter service for lunch in the park or at their resort. Then use table service for their evening meal. And use the snack whenever the hungries hit for a Mickey bar or bakery treat in the parks. Or if you prefer a good break in the middle, do your table service for lunch and counter service for dinner.

Keep in mind, if you use 2 table service one night, you will be short another night. If you still want to do that, you can pay out of pocket for a counter service or table service meal for the odd night.

To answer your question about can you do a sit-down breakfast & a table service every night...not on the regular DDP. If you do the Deluxe plan you get 3 meals & 2 snacks per day, so you could on that one. But that cost considerably more, and a lot of posters seem to think that's too much food (Disney portions tend to run large.) However, if you want to do a lot of the 2 table-service meals, The deluxe plan might be the value for you.

To add onto what Catne said, you don't have to use exactly 1CS, 1TS and 1 snack credit per day. That is the allotment you get, but you can use them over the duration of your trip until midnight of the day you check out.

You can only use TS credits at a TS restaurant and CS credits at a CS restaurant.

And, if you do go with the Dining Plan, make sure that you make reservations (ADRs) for the restaurants that you absolutely don't want to miss out on. Things like Hoop Dee Doo, character dinners, specialty restaurants all book up pretty quickly. You can make reservations as early as 180 days before your trip.

Once you've got your package booked, if you need help deciding on restaurants, come back to the DIS and people will be thrilled to give you suggestions and other tips.

You may feel confused right now, but you're far ahead of most people coming for their first trip (or first trip in a long time) - you found the DIS! Whenever you have questions or aren't sure of something, just post here and someone will have the answer...

No, that's not correct. If you are having breakfast with the Princesses, that's a table service credit (possibly 2) and not a snack or counter service credit.

I believe Hoop Dee Doo is also 2 table service credits.

Have you read the brochures and the thread at the top of this forum? Good luck.
