What side of DTD is Hess located?
Can anyone give me walking directions from DTD?
We will be staying at POFQ and I would like to
pick up a case of bottled water.
I won't have a car.
Thanks

pleasure island, basically get off at PI stop walk down to the traffic light, cross street to get to hess.
You may want to see if you can get water shipped to you. I've read about staples and costco shipping cases.

Thanks, I saw Hess last year we were there but forgot what side I saw it on when we were exiting DTD on one of the Busses. I checked on shipping
a case and walking over to Hess seems much less complicated.
I thought that I could bring one of our small rolling suitcases to put the
water in for tranporting it back to the resort.
So, Pleasure Island is on the West Side of DTD?

Pleasure Island is on the West Side of DTD. There really isn't a good place to walk from POFQ to DTD. It will be quite a hike. You might want to consider taking the boat to the Marketplace and walking over to the Hess station. I don't think they would have a problem with you taking the water back on the boat.

I'm having water (and a few other things) delivered by Garden Grocer (http://www.gardengrocer.com'). There's also another delivery service called wegoshop (I think this is it) that will shop for you at whatever store you'd like. I know there are a few threads here about these services.
HTH.

I wasn't thinking about walking from POFQ and I knew that I could
get there from POFQ either by Boat or Bus, I was just wanting to know
which side of DTD it was located and how to walk to it from that location.
I knew that it does have a Crosswalk because I have seen it while leaving DTD by Bus.
I've also order before from Garden Grocers before but didn't find it worth it because all I need is
1 case of water and there is a minimum amount that has to be purchased in order to get
this delivered plus you have to give the driver/deliverer a tip on top of that.
Why would I order things that I don't need?
I will be walking over to Hess and getting my case of water and I'm sure that it won't
be that difficult to find.

The station is across from Pleasure Island and is equidistant from both ends of the DTD area. If you travel by boat, just walk out the entrance in the middle for Pleasure Island and it is right across the street. If you go by bus, either the Marketplace or the Westside bus stops are the same distance from the Hess station.

We had a case of water shipped to us from Costco for about $7. We didn't go the Garden Grocer route because the water was all we needed. Check into it - it may save you some time & a headache.
We ordered it 3 or 4 days before we left & it was there when we arrived (I asked for it at check in). Sent it to my name (with reservation number and arrival date) c/o the resort.
I highly recommend doing it.

We walked over to the Hess gas station last time we were there - it was easy - right close to the bus stop. The price was good and we also got some other snacks!

We are looking at options as far as getting some of the items we need..
We dont want to order the items thru a grocery service.. so we are thinking of bringing the non perishable, non can items with us from home and then are looking at buying some items while in Florida..
We are debating on either taking a taxi to Walmart to get the items or to go to Hess by DTD to get the items..
Can anyone give recent prices on the following items?
Beer- 12 packs
water- preferably not in a jug, but indiv bottles
soda- 12 packs
styrofoam cooler
cigarettes
I realize you wont have exact prices as it depends on sizes, brands, etc.. but approx prices would really help..
