Will you be told if your item/selection is not on DDP?

While I'm quite sure that everything I want to order is included on the DDP, if I happen to select something that's NOT on the plan, will a server/CM tell me before they charge my KTTW? I guess I'm thinking more about restaurants than snacks but I wanted to ask how that typically happens when you are obviously on the DDP and are opting for something that isn't included. Thanks in advance for any input! :goodvibes

Well all appetizers aren't included this year and acholic drinks and some places shakes are not included and side orders are not included. Everything else on the menu is included you may be able to substitute something on the entree dish for something else just ask. Wait staff will start off buy telling you that the entree, drink (shake if they allow) and dessert are included. Then if you mention you want an app that will be on the bill as a charge, he should tell you that. We have been on 3 trips now on the DDp and all of the wait staff have always been very helpful.:cool1: :hippie:

If you're not sure...ask! Some CM's/wait people will tell you, others don't know (?) and then it gets added when the bill is rung up. We did have some waiters be very specific telling us what could be subbed & what was "legal" on the DDP. But some do not volunteer any info...and policy is not always consistent from one place to another...my DD thought she could sub fruit as a side dish on a counter service meal at one place (she'd done it at other places), but they charged her for a snack credit for the fruit in addition to the counter service for her sandwich/drink/dessert. I think she could have gotten the snack credit reversed (since she did not take the actual side dish that did come with the sandwich combo) but she didn't notice the fruit being charged until hours later.

That's good advice too. At least if the CMs are inconsistent, if I ask the question at least I'll get an answer *before* any charges are made. :goodvibes
