Hi, I was thinking of going to see illuminations at 9:00 and heading over to flying fish or spoodles for a late dinner. What would be the best way and fastest way to head over there? Isn't there a walkway or is that pretty far away? We will also have a car so that would be an option. thanks corvair

Corvair-

Yes, there is a walkway. It is called the International Gateway and it is between the UK & France. If you walk out that gate you hang a left and head out to the boardwalk. It is about a 10 minute walk from the Epcot "back gate" to the two restaurants you have mentioned. There is no problem with the walk but if you drove your car and parked at Epcot you should drive to the Boardwalk as you will have no easy way to get your car. Bottom line: If you drove to Epcot, drive to the Boardwalk.

Thanks , I'm not sure if we will drive or take the bus. If we take the bus it sounds like we could walk over to dinner and then hop the bus there to get back to the resort. thanks

There are no direct resort busses from Boardwalk, except to Coronado Springs. Since Epcot will be closed when you are done with dinner, you would have to take a bus to Downtown Disney & transfer to your resort. You could also catch a cab back to your resort if you don't want to drive or take 2 busses.

Park your car at Boardwalk and walk to World Showcase. Be sure to grab a spot near England or France. That way, after Illuminations, when most patrons will be exiting to the entrance by Spaceship Earth, you will be going in a different direction. The walk looks longer when you look at any WDW map, but in actuality it is not a bad walk at all. Besides, the night life is great on the Boardwalk. You will have fun at Spoodles....unique menu. Have fun!!!!
