What should they replace it with?

What should they replace it with?

Don Juan DiMarco's Kabobs and Kungaloosh Grill. It's an up and coming chain in the Orlando area funded by MrsGus06 and posse with a small stake being owned by Big Kahuna.

I voted Outback, just because it is my favorite place to eat, but in the real world, it is $65 for 2 adults and 1 kid per meal, so in disney dollars that would be what, about $235???

Can ya order the kabobs without the ground seasoning? (as in seasoning from the ground they were dropped on)

I voted "nothing" because we really like the Trail's End as it is. I just wish they would put as much effort into the food, as they do the other buffet restaurants around WDW. They could make it a little better. But, then, of course, the price would go up to compare with the other restaurants. I guess we can't have it all! :thumbsup2

Cici's pizza

$5.50 and $1.50 for soda

In Disney dollars $32.50 + tax and 18% gratutity.

Never mind---------there is 1 less than 5 miles from the fort. That where we go when we need a brake from the MOUSE's abuse

Trail's End makes me feel like I am at home and would be depressed if it closed. I don't see it going anywhere.

Little ot: I went to a Dave and Busters for the first time the other day and loved it! How do they not have one in Orlando? I had to go to the one in Jacksonville.

I'm fine with Trail's End, but I want choices besides a buffet. I usually don't want all-you-can-eat, and if I'm just getting something small, I don't want to have to pay for the buffet.

I would love to have a place that's family oriented, open for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, has a menu to order from, has take-out, and has a great ice cream parlor/dessert bar! Wouldn't it be great to get off the boat from the Magic Kingdom and be able to go into Trails End for cheesecake and ice cream sundae's, and get a drink or two from the bar? Sounds way better to me than what we have now.

Oh, and they can still serve the buffet! :thumbsup2

I voted nothing because eating there is a tradition for our family. Grant it, I don't really eat there because it has a tendancy to make me sick (except for Breakfast), but DH, my dad, and my mom would be very sad to see it go.

I agree they should up the quality of the food...especially the pizza.

A Hard Rock on property would be awesome! I can't see them doing it because there already is one in Orlando, but oh it would be awesome! :thumbsup2

This is almost what I was thinking. I wish they would bring the burger and the pot roast over from Liberty Tree Tavern. Clam chowder from the Harbor House. The Cuban from the ABC Commissary. The Rotisserie Pork Chop from Sunshine Seasons. The Beef or Pork Sandwich from Flame Tree Barbecue. This would be a start to a good menu for us all Disney food.

I agree with that assessment. It serves it's purpose and has some flexibility in the take out section so it's a reasonable compromise between a sit down and CS/take out combo restaurant.

We don't eat there very often and since 1984 have probably done 3 or 4 take outs and 2 or 3 buffets, but have enjoyed the flexibility of having the TE option.

Ice Tea with Breakfast Larry

Why not??? I slug down a diet coke first thing before coffee & always have diet coke with breakfast. Coffee is not a beverage for me...it's a necessity!:surfweb:

I didn't vote simply because none of the options will ever happen (not that I wouldn't enjoy some of them).

My DH would probably say something along the line of "Hooters", but a good old fashion diner would suite me fine! In particular, any of the ones Guy Fierri finds for his show "Diners, Drive-In's & Dives". I think Gatordad would even be happy if a good ol' N.J. Diner appeared at FtW!!

The only reason I voted nothing is because none of the choices offered are going to happen.

They need to "Country-Westernize" T.E. and serve 28 varieties of baked beans. Then send everyone off to the "sing-a-long" with warnings to keep away from the marshmallow roasting fire rings - or we'll have a different kind of "ring of fire"!:lmao:

The Wifey and I go to TE for lunch everytime we go to Disney. It was the best value on property. We were at the Fort last wed.-fri. went to TE for lunch thu. to put it mildly it sucked. The last time we were there was Nov. 2007. Lunch was good, the same stuff chicken, pizza, mac and cheese etc. etc. This time they had chilly and some other soup, sandwich meat and bread, the big kicker is cold chicken (probably left over from the night before). If this is the crap they want to do, I say knock it down and eather put a parking lot for golf carts with electrical plug ins or a 24hr sports bar.
