When WDW decides to have menus that are not generic for every restaurant and offer world class dining again I will then choose to dine on site.

As of now we choose to dine off site for dinner for the quality and choices we are afforded.

I would like to see both appy & dessert with tip included, but I voted for choice of appy or dessert with tip inc. I think it would be great if the 4 of us in my family could get 2 appetizers & 2 desserts to share among us. I know it's not likely, but it would be nice :goodvibes

As for desserts and appetizers, I would like the choice. I cannot eat all 3 courses, but a choice would be nice so that I can have 2.

well truth be told, im going to get it anyway, whatever they do with it, i already know that.
but i would like to see the tip added back in. i dotn care so much about the app. if i want one that bad i can buy one.

We have only done it free. In August we are doing the "free/discounted" DXDP.

We would definitely have done the DDP in its old form no question (but we were lucky to usually be going during free dining), but probably wouldn't in its current form.

I would like the DDP to go back to including tip and appetizer, BUT I'm not convinced that I would buy it at the price being talked about on the boards ($50/adult per day). We are a childless couple and I think we could eat pretty well for $100 a day (assuming there isn't going to be a huge increase in menu prices coming). I'm also a vegetarian which means that my entrees are almost always the cheapest thing on the menu.

We also did the DDP for free, and it made us condsider buying it for convenience.

Then they nixed the tip AND raised the price AND took off the app and dessert.

We will eat at counter service only from now on!!! And have it charged to my room for the convenience.

I wish we had the choice between app or dessert. In my family we don't need both the app and dessert. I also liked having the tip included.

price should not go over 39.99 a day for basic plan with choice of app or dessert with tip. 2 years ago it was about that amount with both included and tip..... If price goes to 50. for basic I would never use it unless it was during FREE DDP:thumbsup2

And food costs have risen dramatically, so I think that's doubtful. If the appetizer and tip go back in, the price must go up.

I understand prices need to increase. My issue is that tip. I want it included so that I don't have to mess around with it. One of the great perks of the DDP is convenience, and without the tip, that park is gone.

We've used the DDP several times. Also have the DDE card. With the DDP the way it is now, we won't be using it anytime soon. Well, other than the free dining we have in Sept.
The way it is setup now is just not a good deal for us. We really liked it when it included the tip and you could get the appetizer. We prefer the appetizer to the dessert.
So, now we will be using our DDE card exclusively...makes much more sense to me.

I think DH and I are the only people okay with them taking the tip off. We have done the dining plan twice. The first time tip was included and service was not good at several of the resturaunts and we had no really great service anywhere. This year it was just the opposite we were actually happy with all our servers and tipped them all at least 18% some of them more. Maybe it was just the luck of the draw and we just got bad servers and it has nothing to do with the tip being included :confused3 But it does make sense that you would try a little harder to please if that 18% was not a sure thing.

I didn't vote because I don't want it to go to any of those choices. I want the old DP to come back where the tip and appetizer was included.
