Got an OKW 1 bdrm @ 7 months

I don't know if it is hard to get but I wanted to say we were able to get a 1 bdrm @ OKW at the 7 month mark today for President's week. We are very excited. :woohoo: We are SSR owners(love it and proud of it:love: ) but we decided to try OKW this time. We always book at the 11th month for SSR so the 7 month thing was new to us. If anyone has any pointers or suggestions about OKW, we would love to hear them!

I love going during President's week....but did not go last year because the airfare from LI was ridiculous!!! Do you fly or drive?

I'm a SSR owner as well and haven't tried OKW yet. I haven't had any problems getting anything at the 7 month mark yet but i don't travel at super peak times. We are planning on Vero Beach for next June and hoping to get a 1 BDR villa so we'll see how that goes..

We are OKW owners and love staying there. We have stayed at VWL at Christmas and at BCV and loved those also, but OKW is by far the biggest units. The room is huge and the balconies are so large. The grounds are so peaceful and quiet. Transportaion has been pretty good, but we do use our car sometimes. Pool and restaurants are good. We have usually stayed in Buildings 23-26 area and Bldg. 12, 15, 62 and 54. The only problem I had was in Bldg. 62 we were close to the road and I did hear the bus noises, but we live in a very quiet area, so I am not used to the noise. It did not bother me for sleeping, but in the daytime it was a little annoying. But you will love OKW. Have a great time. We will be there in January:yay: and in March:woohoo: . We can't wait.

We always fly Jet Blue out of JFK. Usually we go in the middle of President's Week through the weekend, but we are using points to go in December as well so we didn't include any Friday or Saturday night stays in the Feb trip:thumbsup2

I agree! We own at SSR but haven't stayed there yet--Thanksgiving will be our first trip home to SSR! We love OKW-can't beat the spacious rooms and relaxed feel of the resort! If you can request a golf course view--even better! It's so nice to wake up in the morning with a cup of coffee and watch the ducks from your HUGE veranda!

I am not sure about that;) as we have tried others and since we have spent so much time at SSR, we really feel at home there so the size of the room is only a small bonus to us. BUT we are very excited to stay at OKW!
