Nope. Just more of the same rumors. There were rumors of an announcement in May. Rumors of an announcement on July 1. So far all of the dates mentioned have come-and-gone with nothing new.

It will happen, but at this point it looks like anyone trying to predict a date is just bobbing for apples. :goodvibes

I've seen lots of rumors of an August announcement, but 1 rumor of an OCTOBER announcement. The new rumor said that Disney is not in a hurry with the soft economy.:sad1:

heard that DVC don't need the sales for this year end. Disney year end starts again in Sept.

so Oct is definitely look like the date.

looks like someone in DVC is afraid of sales dropping off next year. So if they wait until their next year (Sept) to announce BLT and start sales - all will go with 2009 not 2008 Disney year.

but can't believe they will have a problem selling BLT.

oh it is called ' Bay Lake Towers @ Disney's CR' only disney would call a building hardily 15 to 16 floors high a Tower.

with a Tower would expect at least 50 floors.

They have alot of units to sell at AKV, my guess that is the reason they are holding off. They know they can sell BLT but AKV would be tougher with BLT available.

..not exactly what the OP was asking. But... We were there last week and I got a good look at the building. It looks as if all of the top floor rooms could be grand villas. They will have great views. Crossing my fingers that the roof deck will have a viewing area. There were sections that looked like they could be stairs or elevator to the roof. Also, they were adding decorative concrete to the walls of the exterior to the lower floors and working their way up. It's looking very good.

It could still be mid-August. Chances are they would hold off any final closings until the new FY so those monies wouldn't count for this year anyways. I imagine they're just delaying to be able to do that.

DVC has many times said that the product sells better when there is more than one option available.

Since there has been paper work filed that a DVC Kiosk the size of 10K sq ft is going up at the Contemporary, this is the only place that makes sense.

I'd bet they put a cover of some type over the top of this project.

Although I'm not sure where the 10K sq ft. DVC kiosk will go I was told by CMs that this area will be a new grab and go or counter service location for the Contemporary. Maybe it will be included in this space with the counter service space.
