OK my first question is:
We have driven before in Florida but flown into Orlando Int, this time we fly inyo Sandford. Should i use the I4 or the more quieter route? Which is the more straight forward route to get to the 192 and the hotel listed below?
My second question is:
We have to find this particular hotel Best Western lakeside Inn (in order to pick up our villa keys) does anyone know exactly whereabouts it is? iknow its on the 192 but not sure which marker point its by.
Has anyone had to collect keys from this agency and if so were they ok and where was your villa located?
OK maybe that was 3 questions but we are sooooo excited it's allowed.

We fly out on Friday :cool1: and we too for the first time are flying into Sanford. We are considering using the 417 Toll Road as it is generally a much quieter road and faster - which I find a bit safer as not so many lane jumpers :lmao: Then you just come off at the Celebration exit and you are at the East side of the 192 - it's only a minute or so from Coral Cay then for us :goodvibes

By far the least congested route is the 417 Central Florida Greeneway toll road. Make sure you have some cash handy for the tolls (it doesn't have to be change, but something smaller than $50 bills!).
The hotel is west of Disney and the I-4. Leave the 417 at exit 3 and head west on the Osceola Parkway. This will take you onto Disney property and landmarks to look out for are the Gaylord Palms hotel, the Welcome to Walt Disney World arch, Pop Century and Wide World of Sports. Keep heading west on this road, following the signs for Animal Kingdom Lodge. As you pass the toll booths for Animal Kingdom (on your right), move over into the left-hand lane and turn left at the lights. This will take you onto the Sherberth Road (a small back road which takes you off Disney property and onto the 192, and used by Disney employees and savvy tourists). Turn right onto the 192 and the Best Western Lakeside will be on your right at the next light-controlled intersection. It's between markers 5 and 4.
This might sound a tad complicated, but it really is the most direct and least-congested route. The Osceola Parkway runs parallel with the 192 at this point and, rather than having to stop at lights every couple of hundred yards, you're on a free-flowing road passing through WDW. Once you're on the Osceola Parkway, it's a straight road until you hit the Sherberth Road.
I reckon this route potentially halves the travelling time of taking the I-4/192 route.

I'm with Deb although I4 isn't really a problem the greeneway is much quieter and easier to drive.

Thanks for the advice and directions i've copied them out and packed them into my hand luggage. would you say if any of the junctions/intersections or lights have any tricky turns to be aware of?

The 417 Greenway is by far the nicer route to WDW :)
the Welcome to Walt Disney World arch
... and that's got to be reason enough to take the route Deb suggests!
