Hello fellow DISigners and DISign lovers! My trip to DW is in January of '09, but I've been working like crazy this summer to get my shirts done. As I've mentioned before, I'm a teacher, and I'd like to be done before I start work again as things get crazy! As of this afternoon, I am finally done with my shirts! :woohoo: (Well I actually have a Disney Diva hoody sweatshirt to make, but I haven't got the sweatshirt yet.)
Thank you very much to all the DISigners who helped me or allowed me to revamp their work to suit me or to create all new DISigns with it. Mostly this was rumblytumbly, Michelle, and Lemming of the BDA, but I think I might have found something on Natalie's pb too... not sure! Thanks! :flower3:
A few notes about my shirts:
1. I used all stretchable transfers. Light by Avery (WalMart), Dark by June Tailor's Soft 'n' Stretchy (Michael's).
2. I read all about how people messed up when ironing and was determined to be careful and learn from other's mistakes. Yeah, silly me ironed a dark transfer without pulling off the backing (after I'd been ironing for a while!!!) -- amazing how quickly that ruined my transfer!
3. I got iron on jewels at Michael's and a little hand held, battery operated heat tool (looks like the head of a nail on the end) to put the jewels on. Worked great, and it added some fun flair to some of my designs! :wizard:
4. Sorry there's so many pictures. I took individual pictures...
5. No, I'm not doing the vinegar wash or the scotchgaurd. I am storing them on hangers in my coat closet, so the light won't really hit them, and they won't be squished together.
6. Finally, when cutting out the DISigns, one of the transfers recommended cutting out transfers with round edges, no sharp corners or edges. On items I was cutting out as rectangles, not close to the DISign, I used my sister's CM corner cutter. It did the trick and made some of my DISigns look more professional IMHO.
Enjoy!

Tinkerbell is my favorite, so I made a lot with her on them!
This one can be found in my DISign thread. I added a few jewels to it.

This one can also be found on my DISign thread. I added jewels as well. It was the first dark one I ironed and is not my fave, but it's cute.

Yet another one in my DISign thread. This is my favorite! It looks like I bought it (I think at least)... again more jewels, but not many -- Tink's gotta have her pixie dust!
http://i331.photobucket.com/albums/l473/everydaymathchick/Finished%20Tshirts/DSC_0279.jpg
This is in rumblytumbly's corner. I added jewels...again. :cutie: I'm going to wear it my last day. My sister or BIL said that I wouldn't have a place to wear it again. I say it has great comidic value for in-servce days at school, the last teaching day at school, outings with friends, etc.

This is someone else's Tink with my lettering added by me. I wanted a small bookbag for DW. This bag is from JoAnn's (the only place I could fine one). They had canvas or sweatshirt material bags. I chose sweatshirt material. It's big enough to hold my wallet, my cell phone, my resort mug, and a couple odds and ends. Again...jewels. :rotfl:

This one is someone else's Tiara-ed Minnie Head but my wording put on my moi. This is also the one I ironed wrong and had to reprint and iron again. Jewels were added to the starbursts on the tiara.

I should have put a different colored background on this and cut it out as a rectangle and used a dark transfer... you live you learn. I still like it! This DISign can be found in my DISign thread as well. Jewels were added to the pixie dust path left by Tink.

This one is jewel-less. It's also found in my DISign thread. I really like Stitch and loved this clipart of him!

Another DISign found in my DISign thread. It was the first light DISign I ironed on and didn't "take" well. Still like it -- looks a little vintage. :rolleyes1

Here is the PotC shirt I made. (DISigns on my DISign thread.) No jewels on it... :rotfl:
The front:

The back to entertain people in lines behind me:

I made a couple of pillowcases. I already was making 9 shirts for a 7 day trip, so I decided I needed to do something else with the othe DISigns I loved! The first one is a Stitch DISign I found in somone's photobucket (speak up to claim it!).
http://i331.photobucket.com/albums/l473/everydaymathchick/Finished%20Tshirts/DSC_0255.jpg
This pillowcase has iron-on/rub-on transfers I found on clearance at WalMart. I liked the princesses, but I didn't have anything to put it on, so I decided a cheap pillowcase would work. After using them, I figured out why they were clearance. They are a pain to use! I scorched Snow White...:rolleyes1

I am sleeping in the room with my neice and nephew. My sister and I keep laughing that mousekeeping won't know which bed the adult is sleeping on because I'll have my silly pillowcases, my neice will have all her princess dolls, and my nephew will have his Cars blanket and such on his bed! :rotfl2: But hey, it's DW! Gotta get in the spirit and have fun!
I'll post a pic of my sweatshirt when I get it done. Check out my DISign thread at http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1884039. Thanks again to all! :flower3:

Thanks to all of you! I have loved glitter and all things that sparkle since I was a little girl, and despite being called an adult now, I still think life is more fun if it glitters! :cheer2: I worked so long and hard on all of them. It's nice to hear kind words about them.
The Tiara'd Minnie head was one I found on Michelle's photobucket and then took the name off of in photoshop and put my name on. This is her DISign thread. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1684697 It's one of my fave Tiara'd Minnies!

Thanks for sharing the pics. These look great and I love the sparklies!!! In fact I bought some today at Walmart. I did not see a little tool but I was wondering it maybe I could use the point of a hot glue gun of course with out the glue. Did you find this tool near the iron on jewels? I can't wait to do my shirts.

I got the little tool for the jewels at Michael's. I bet you might be able to find on at Joann's or Hobby Lobby. I don't think that a glue gun tip would work as it's hollow and not solid -- evenly distributed -- heat. I don't have the tool at my house. I know it's red with a black tip and was in hot pink packaging.... Let me know if you need the brand!

Thank you! Isn't it addictive?! I have to keep DISigning on the boards to live vicariously through the other people making shirts! I could honestly make a TON of shirts if I keep looking at DISigns for myself! :lmao:
