Sorry if I'm asking a question that's always asked, but I'm looking for an up to date reply....

We are only in Florida until 9th November this year as we go a week earlier to coincide with half term. I know the Christmas lights are put up much earlier these days - I'm sure we have seen them within the first couple of weeks of November.

My question is - will we have any chance of seeing them before we leave? Anyone know the official date they are put up? Thanks :goodvibes

Thanks for the reply. I'm sure this did used to be the case, but we have gone for the first two weeks of November for the past 5 years or so, and have always got to see them, so I know it must be earlier now. We don't stay in Orlando, only spend a couple of days there, so I don't know how early the lights actually go up. Can anyone help :confused3

Sorry if my reply is incorrect. In years past the decorations have always gone up after Thanksgiving, obviously it may have changed

I have some AK pictures from November 7th 2006 and the characters have there Christmas scarfs on and there are little Christmas tree's up, as well as the huge one just outside the park.

Also some pictures of the Magic Kingdom dated November 13th 2006 and all of the Christmas decorations are up then.

They may have been up earlier but these are the day's we went that show decorations in our photo's.

Disney starts putting up Christmas decorations around the first of November. In typical "Disney magic" style, the work happens at night, so visitors see more decorations each day than were there the day before. Everything is up by Thanksgiving weekend.

Incredibly, Disney World shows off about 1,200 Christmas trees and hangs more than 5 miles of garland!

Just pulled the above off a website after doing a Google search

Hope it helps answer the OP queston
