I found this article from the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) about the upcoming Disney movie, "The Frog Princess." I guess there's been some criticism and some changes. Thought you might find it interesting:

Interesting article. As to the last part, somebody is always going to complain about something. Without other races, Disney is a racist company. With other races they are misrepresented. I think Disney should do what they want and let the people who want to spend money, spend money and those that don't want to don't have to.
As for the movie itself, I am looking forward to this and cannot wait to see it. I am sure it will be a beautiful story and I am very excited to see an African-American princess!! :)

Set in the Jazz age...why didn't they just expand her name to Madeleine?
And if she wasn't going to be a chamber maid then the only way they could get far enough away from the blue collar stereo types would be to make her a traveling BAP who for some reason needs rescuing in a cold hard world (aka, the little princess). In that era there weren't that many options for a young black girl unless your family was wealthy or had its own business...factory work, servant work, entertainment or if you had a college degree, nurse, teacher, librarian, secretary, or the rare lawyer.
