DUE DATE: October 1. I am on vacation that week so if everything is on time, I can swap out immediately.

**Due to the nature of this swap, we want to make sure all participants receive a complete set. If you are unable to complete things, please ask for an angel as soon as possible. I will be requiring the following checkins. If I have not heard from you within 3 days of the check in I will send a PM/Email. If I still do not hear from you within one week of that, I will ask for an angel. Just so we are clear up front. ***

**MAIL BY SEPTEMBER 24**

You will choose a letter and make 26 altered rolodex cards to swap. You can purchase or use any rolodex of your choosing. We will be making the divider cards which measure 2 1/4" x 4". Your letter can stand for a character, a ride, a land, a park, or anything Disney related.

Please make sure you punch out the slots at the bottom (they sell punches for this at Staples). Several of us have the punch and are willing to share. You can either purchase blank cards and decorate over them or cut out from cardstock.

Feel free to use any cardstock or patterned paper that fits your theme. Since a rolodex is not archival, you do not need to worry about acid-free/lignin-free products. You should include at least two types of embellishments or embellishment techniques (such as, but not exclusively limited to: embossing, distressing, inking, ribbons, brads/eyelets, flowers, charms, stickers, die cuts). Only the front needs to be decorated.

Just as the regular rolodex dividers have the letter on a raised tab, you want to make sure the same is the case for yours. You can do that in whatever creative manner you would like. We will be alternating the left-right placement of the letters just like a regular rolodex so note the placement of your tab next to your letter in the signups.

You may sign up for more than one letter if you want more than one set returned to you, but please allow others to sign up for 1 set first. I will open it up to a second spot per person on Monday.

I will also be hosting a simultaneous swap for the address cards that go in the rolodex, but just to save on confusion, that will be in a separate thread.

Once signups are closed, please PM me your name, mailing address, email address and phone number. I will only use the latter two for an emergency, but I must have an alternate way to reach you outside the boards for check-in purposes.

Mailing/packaging instructions: I am pretty sure the 26 cards should fit easily in a priority mail envelope. Please include $4.80 for return postage. Cash, check or a $4.80 stamp is fine. (No click-it/ship-it postage please.) Each individual card does not have to be in its own baggie if you feel they will not be damaged by putting them all together in one large bag. Sometimes they can be tacky or easily snag on things due to 3-D embellishments - in that case please package to minimize damage (wrap in saran wrap or individual baggies). Label the outside of the largest bag with your name and DIS name. You do not have to label the individual cards in any way.

If more than one new person posts, I think we'll have to un-glue the XYZ after all to get 2 more spots. If we do, AWM - I'll do one of them - you can choose which one you like best. And I don't think anyone would have a problem with still having more of a genericly decorated theme for any of those letters.

I'm going out for a few hours, so watch the letters people have chosen ahead of you. I'll check back in later this afternoon.

PO3 - The holes seem right for the bosskut die, but I'm not sure about the overall size. If the measurements are a little bigger it will look odd when you have the whole thing together. I would say as long as you can cut it down to the 2 1/4 x 4 size by trimming a little off the top, it should be fine.

123SA - I've never seen that punch. We all used one from Staples, but it certainly seems like those holes would work. Do you have a rolodex to test it out on? That's all that matters - whether the holes will fit onto a standard rolodex. Does anyone else have that Stampin Up punch?

I've decided to unglue the XYZ. That means we are back to making 26 cards after all. Sorry to change things. I've changed the first post to reflect that.

Julez4u and calanniebu - I've put you down as R and W, respectively if you're both sure you're okay with that.

I'm still going to wait and take the very last letter to fill in the last hole, but some ideas I had for the difficult Y and Z were Yo-Ho with a pirate theme and Zip a Dee Doo Da with a general Disney theme if anyone wanted to use those.

I think that catches us up.

ok i found a piece of clip art and i resized it in photobucket but not to sure how i print it out? i wanted to do stickers but the ones i found were 2.00 for the pack but only 1 lumpy in the set. i think my dh would :faint: if i spent 52.00 on lumpy stickers!!! i mean he's understanding of my hobby, but not that much!!!!

any suggestions how i print it out???

Rolie is my first paper piecing. He was so much fun to make.
The Pirate is Kat's. Did you see the earring in his ear?

For Lumpy, print him out on glossy paper. Then cut around him with those bee scissors. You can then adhere him like a sticker or pop dot him to make him stand out more.

good news! i just called acmoore to check and make sure that they did in fact order my pooh cart at 50% off and the manager assured me that they did. it should either be here monday or thursday. he said they had 200 in the warehouse. so i should be all set ashley.

Just checking - I've been counting up my Tinkerbell bits and pieces and I do have 26 various images :earseek: but some are dimensional stickers, some are flat, some are just faces etc. If I put extra embellishments (say 2 extra "stuffs") is anyone goinf to feel wounded if they have a flat sticker? I'f its going to cause probelms I'll not use stickers at all (I'm sure I'll think of another Tinkish way to embellish ;) ) but I have so many it seems a shame not tu use them

It's not the skittles that weigh so much. It's those glue dots to hold them down that adds the weight. Not to mention cost. I think I spent more in glue dots than I did on the whole bag of skittles for just one project.

last night i started cuting out the skulls for my YO-HO YO-HO pirate page and i must say they are cute- i am using my new indie-art cricut cart for the skull with the silver glitter DCWV paper - VERY CUTE!!!
Are there any rules on the letters - how big? now to find where i saved the crciut file for the roledex card and see if it is the right size.

The SU one you can turn into an edge that you tuck into a spiral bound book. Not so sure you would want to do that with the Staples one. It's not as much fun to use as a real punch.

Sorry ladies I've been swamped all day and am just getting to this. I'm posting the comparision and as you can see the SU one is smaller then the staples one that I have however if you add the third SU one it does go in the rolodex that I have. Doing just the two has the holes too close together.

It's not a DUH question - it depends. You can definitely punch the holes regardless of the size of the card. Some people, however, just made a smaller business card sized address card, with the intention that it could then be attached to the existing plain cards already in the rolodex. In that case, the smaller sized cards don't have to have the holes (but they can if you want them to). Does that make sense?

Yes, it was quite a relief to get those done and crossed off my list! They were harder to do than I thought - you really can't fit too much on a 2x4 card! Hopefully you will all like them. I have a big Cinderella fan here, too. He loves to sing the "Cinderelly" song, but only knows about 10 words to the song, which makes for a very interesting rendition, complete with actions!

Do you have the opaque gel pens? Maybe you can use that for the eyes & tongue instead? I had to use them for Jasmine & Aladdin's eyes on the complete page swap. I couldn't tell what side was the right side and they were sooo tiny I couldn't figure out a way to pick them up without skewering them with the poke it tool. And wouldn't that have looked nice? Me, poking out their eyes, for real.

I am pretty sure I can get the right eye and the tongue in place -- it's just the left eye. I cut the Mickey from the font cart -- it is just the head. If that doesn't work, I thought about just putting a pices of white behind the face and coloring in the pupils with the glaze pens -- but I already adhered the faces....

you know what I find exciting about this swap? When I look at the first page, my name is in the received color....lol.. Glad they got there :)
