French Riveria/Orient Beach Excursion-St Maarten-How long is it?

The Orient Beach excursion says its 5 hours, what time did you get back to the ship? We were thinking of doing to the beach close to the dock (Great Bay) and eating lunch on the ship, then just hang out. We also may just rent a taxi to Dawn beach instead.

I believe it was a 9 AM - 2 PM excursion. About 20 minutes each way travel. The remainder of the time was on the beach.
The bus driver did stop in town and let everyone off who wished to do so. We had plenty of time to shop (can you say "Quavaberry Emporium") and then walk back to the ship.
As mentioned in past posts "Notice the Asterick *", this is a clothing optional beach.
