I received my varsity letter a few months ago for academics. I want a jacket so bad but no one at my school has one because they all think they are stupid. But I really want one. So I might just get one. XD

It's kind of funny, at my school, everyone participates in sports at different schools, so when they wear their varsity jackets, its a whirlwind of color.

I'm not too wild about them and I dont think I will get one. Plus I'm not going to be able to play sports at school due to the dance commentment. So only thing I really could get one for is academics...

but If I were get to wear mine.. it'd only be for 1 year... and people dont usually wear them in college do they?

We don't get varsity jackets, we get letters. Which are literally our schools initials in big letters. The closest thing to letterman jackets are the championship jackets we get if we win the championship, for football.

I'll be getting one for lacrosse this coming school year. I got my letter last year. At our school, you must be a varsity athlete in 3 different sports, or a varsity athlete in one sport for 2 years. I would have mine now, but I didn't fufill all of the volunteering requirements yet. xD Our school doesn't give them out for academics. :confused3

I got varsity letters, my school doesn't do varsity jackets for all sports teams, just football & wrestling.

My high school doesn't have lettermans. The football team like 2 years ago got jackets that look like letterman jackets but they're not really.

I had the letters and patches for sports and honors but I never went through with buying the jacket ($260!!!). They are really warm if you live in a cold place, but they aren't good for most times where I live.
Plus ours were huuuuuuuuge on everyone.

And no one wears them after HS to my knowledge.

I did keep my old school uniform jacket even though I sold my skirt, sweaters, polos and stuff (we had different colors for specific groups). It's cool to have the memories. It's a really nice jacket and it's a custom, but I wouldn't ever wear it now so it's just rotting in my closet. I need to take all my pins off it though.

I'm in no sports but i have fairly good grades but you can only get them if you have a 4.0 GPA or above...

I have my letters from Cheerleading, but I never got the Jacket. It just wasn't worth it to me because Im at a private school....I dont know it just didn't make much sense. BUT if I was at a public school with a giant amount of school-pride....I would love one!

I got one half way through freshman year.It didn't fit half way through sophmore year so in 4 years I wore it about 5 times.
