Hi - I am always cutting pics in my layouts into squares and rectangles. Can someone recommend a good tool to use to cut my pics and mats into circles and ovals?
Thanks!

I love my CM custom cutting system. The only downside is if you go to crops, there is a lot of pieces to take with you.

i have the system too and think it is great, but wondering if there is something else that would be easier for my DD9 to use. She always has trouble with the CM CCS, and either rips the photo etc, no matter how many times she tries.

Do y'all have the new CM swivel blades for your cutting system? They are easier to use since they swivel and they have cut down on my oopsies. You can buy a set of them from your CMC for around $16.00.

I have the CM system also. Had a fiskers and colluzle before that and CM's is so much easier. I agree the new blades are better too!

Thanks for your help! Can you tell me if the CM system an all in one type of thing or do I have to buy each piece individually?

You buy the mat & blades, set of circles and set of ovals. At least that's how I remember it. I have had mine for so long, I forget!

I didn't even realize the blades had changed!!!! I ordered the new set. Figure I'll keep one set with my crop stuff & another @ home.

I've been using my CM circle/oval/shapes cutter since 2000 and I love it! It really is the best cutting system.
If I remember correctly, you get the cutting mat and a set of circles or ovals and the blades with your initial purchase and then can buy the other shapes separately. I want to say it's about $60 for the whole thing (circles and ovals) but I could be WAY off on that so please don't quote me ;) Last CM crop I was at I found out they have new blades and my CMC was trying to convince me to buy them, but I've never had a problem with the originals so unless they wear out I'll stick with those.

It seems like I had tried so many different types. I didnt want to spend the money on the CM system. At the time, to me it was pricey. BUT with all the money I spent on all the other ones, I could have saved money.
I did buy the CM cutting system and I love it. I have almost all the shapes - if not all. I store them in one of their zippered pouches that makes it super easy to take along to crops.
Best investment out there
I didnt realize they have switched to a new cutter either hhmmm

It's $38 for the mat, blades, and a set of patterns (circles, ovals, wavy patterns). Extra patterns are $14 each. Plus tax and shipping, of course.

My vote is for the CM cutting system. It's all I've ever used and heard the Fiskars one is hard to figure out.
